Overview

This document is a user manual for the Arteconfort Itaparica ceiling fan, providing instructions and information in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

Function Description:

The Arteconfort Itaparica is a ceiling fan designed for indoor use, offering cooling and air circulation. It features a remote control for convenient operation and includes a light with color temperature memory. The fan can operate in both summer and winter modes, reversing the blade direction for optimal air distribution depending on the season. It also has a "breeze mode" that alternates between soft and fast speeds for enhanced comfort.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Supply: 127-220V 60Hz.
  • Fan Weight: 5.1kg. The fan must be hung from a structure capable of supporting at least 50kg.
  • Blade Clearance: The fan blades must be at least 2.3 meters above the floor. A minimum free space of 50cm from the tip of the blades to the wall or ceiling is recommended for optimal airflow.
  • Remote Control Frequency: 433MHz radiofrequency.
  • Remote Control Battery: LRV08, 23A, MN21 12V (not included).
  • Light: Features color temperature memory.
  • Warranty: 2 years, covering manufacturing defects or faulty components.

Usage Features:

  • Remote Control Operation: The fan is operated via a remote control, which allows for:
    • Fan ON/OFF: Turns the fan on or off.
    • Light ON/OFF: Turns the light on or off.
    • Programming: Sets the fan's operating hours (1, 4, or 8 hours).
    • Speed Selection: Adjusts the fan blade rotation speed.
    • Breeze Mode: Activates a mode that smoothly alternates between soft and fast speeds for a natural breeze effect.
    • Winter/Summer Mode (F/R): Reverses the direction of blade rotation to switch between summer and winter modes.
  • Color Temperature Memory: The light retains the last selected color temperature when turned off and on again. To change the color temperature, turn the light off and on within 2 seconds. To keep the last selected temperature, turn the light off and wait approximately 15 seconds before turning it back on.
  • Synchronization: The remote control is factory-synchronized with the fan. Re-synchronization is required if the remote loses synchronization, a new remote is purchased, or if multiple fans need to be controlled with a single remote. Instructions are provided for synchronizing one remote to one fan, one remote to multiple fans, and individualizing remote control for multiple fans.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Do not connect the fan motor to an intensity regulator, as this may cause unsatisfactory performance (motor hum) and damage.
    • Ensure blades do not come into contact with any objects during operation.
    • Do not insert any objects into the fan blades while they are rotating.
    • Before reversing blade direction, stop the fan completely to prevent damage to the motor or controller.
    • The fan is designed for indoor use only and should not be exposed to water or humidity.
    • Do not operate the fan in a room with a gas appliance running simultaneously.
    • Children aged 8 and above, and individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, can use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe use and understand the risks. Children should not play with the appliance.
    • The suspension system must be assembled by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified personnel according to local, regional, and state electricity regulations.
    • A bipolar switch (not included) is required for total disconnection from the power supply.
    • Verify electrical specifications are compatible with the installation.
    • Disconnect power before installation or repair.
    • The fan must be properly grounded.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Inspections: Periodically check support connections, brackets, and blade fixings (twice a year) to ensure they are firm and prevent wobbling or falling.
  • Cleaning: Clean the fan regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth to maintain its appearance. Avoid using water, as it can damage the motor or wooden blades.
  • Lubrication: The fan does not require lubrication, as the motor bearings are permanently lubricated.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Every 6 months, tighten the blade fixings and other screws.
  • Troubleshooting: A dedicated section provides solutions for common issues such as the fan not starting, excessive noise, wobbling, insufficient airflow, and the light not turning on. It advises checking batteries, electrical connections, blade condition, and remote control synchronization.
  • Blade Balancing: Instructions are provided for balancing the blades if the fan wobbles, involving placing a clip on a blade to identify the one needing a counterweight and then attaching the counterweight to the appropriate spot.
  • Spare Parts: Spare parts are available and can be requested from the store of purchase or other stores of the brand. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.
