Overview

This document describes the ARYA PONZA INVERTER SERIES MONOSPLIT PARETE air conditioner, providing details on its functions, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The ARYA PONZA INVERTER SERIES MONOSPLIT PARETE is an air conditioning unit designed for domestic environments, offering cooling, heating, dry, and fan-only modes. It incorporates an inverter system for efficient operation across a range of temperatures.

  • Cooling Mode (FRESH): Cools the ambient air and simultaneously reduces humidity.
  • Heating Mode (HEAT): Heats the room. In heating mode, the appliance may automatically activate a defrost cycle to clear frost from the condenser and restore heat exchange efficiency. This process typically lasts 2-10 minutes, during which indoor and outdoor fans stop. Heating resumes automatically after defrosting. For low-temperature heating models, a forced defrost can be initiated by pressing the ECO button 10 times within 8 seconds.
  • Dry Mode (DRY): Reduces air humidity to enhance comfort. This mode activates an automatic preset function.
  • Fan Only Mode (FAN): Operates the fan without cooling or heating. Fan speed can be adjusted through AUTO, MUTE, LOW, LOW-MID, MID, MID-HIGH, HIGH, and TURBO settings.
  • Automatic Mode (AUTO): Automatically sets the operating mode based on ambient temperature.
  • ECO Function (ECHO): Optimizes operation for energy saving. This function is available in both cooling and heating modes.
  • MUTE Function (MUTE): Activates a silent operation mode, running the indoor unit fan at the lowest speed. This function cannot be activated in dry mode.
  • SLEEP Function (TO SLEEP): Activates an automatic operating program for sleep, with the display showing the SLEEP icon. After 10 hours, the air conditioner reverts to the previous setting.
  • DISPLAY Function (SCREEN): Turns the LED display on or off.
  • SWING Function: Controls the movement of louvers. It can activate horizontal flaps (up-down oscillation) and vertical flaps (left-right oscillation). Long pressing the button for more than 3 seconds allows selecting multiple airflow directions.
  • TURBO Function (TURBO): Activates a rapid cooling or heating mode, running the fan at maximum speed for a strong airflow.
  • I FEEL Function (I FEEL): Allows the remote control to measure the temperature at its current location and send this signal to the air conditioner to optimize temperature and comfort. This function automatically deactivates after 2 hours.
  • GEN Function (GEN): Activates a general mode with selectable types (L3, L2, L1, OF).
  • SELF-CLEANING Function (CLEAN): Helps remove accumulated dirt and bacteria from the internal evaporator. This function runs for approximately 30 minutes and then returns to the preset mode. It can be canceled during the process.
  • HEALTH Function (HEALTH): Activates ionizer, plasma, bipolar ionizer, or UVC lights (depending on the model) for air purification.
  • MOLD PROOF Function (MOLD PROOF): In cooling/drying mode, when the air conditioner is turned off, the indoor unit continues to run for about 15 minutes to dry the unit and prevent mold growth.
  • 8°C Heating Function (8°C.heating): Automatically starts heating when the room temperature is below 8°C (46°F) and returns to standby if the temperature reaches 9°C (48°F). This function automatically cancels if the ambient temperature exceeds 18°C (64°F).
  • CHILD-LOCK Function (MODE + TIMER): Locks the remote control to prevent accidental changes.
  • GENTLE WIND Function (FAN + MUTE): Automatically closes vertical flaps to provide a gentle airflow.

Maintenance Features

  • General Cleaning:
    • Always turn off the machine and disconnect power for at least 5 minutes before cleaning.
    • Never flush the air conditioner with water.
    • Use a soft, dry cloth or a damp cloth with neutral detergent for cleaning. Avoid volatile liquids like thinner or gasoline.
  • Filter Cleaning:
    • Regularly clean the air filter to prevent dust accumulation and maintain efficiency.
    • To remove the filter, grasp its raised handle and pull it out, separating the top edge from the unit. Lift the filter upwards.
    • To install, insert the lower end of the filter screen into the corresponding position, then press the upper end into place.
    • Avoid touching the indoor unit's fins after removing the filter to prevent scratches.
  • Inner Air Duct Cleaning:
    • Loosen the knob on the louver, bend it outwards to remove.
    • Grasp both sides of the bottom plate and push downwards to remove it.
    • Loosen the buckle of the deflector assembly with your thumb to remove.
    • Wipe the air duct and fan assembly with a clean, wrung wet rag.
    • Clean removed parts with soapy water and air dry. Reassemble in reverse order after cleaning.
  • Long-Term Shutdown:
    • Remove batteries from the remote control.
    • Disconnect the air conditioner from the power supply.
  • Restart After Long-Term Shutdown:
    • Clean the unit and filter screen.
    • Check for obstacles at the air inlet and outlet of both indoor and outdoor units.
    • Verify that the drain pipe is unobstructed.
    • Install remote control batteries and check power.
  • Refrigerant System Maintenance (R32 specific):
    • Installation and maintenance must be performed by specialized technical personnel.
    • Ensure proper ventilation and absence of ignition sources due to the flammable nature of R32 refrigerant.
    • Leak detection methods (soapy water or professional detectors) must be used after installation and during maintenance.
    • Proper procedures for refrigerant removal and evacuation must be followed, including purging with oxygen-free nitrogen (OFN).
