Differential and RTK
The GG Surveyor uses the six-of-eight format (data bits a1 through a6 of an eight-bit
byte) for communication between the reference station and user equipment.
When the GG Surveyor is used as remote equipment and the RTCM remote option is
enabled, the GG Surveyor can accept any type of RTCM message. However it
decodes types 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 16, 18, 19, 22, 31, 32, 34, and 36 uses only types 1, 2, 9,
31, and 34 for differential corrections and types 3, 18, 19, and 22 for RTK
corrections. For radio communication, the GG Surveyor in remote mode can recover
bit slippage.
