Do you have a question about the Astatic GSM-1 and is the answer not in the manual?
Retrofits same mounting holes as rubber band style shock mounts requiring a 1-3/8 inch center hole.
The ASTATIC GSM-1 is a high-performance lectern/podium shock isolation mount specifically designed for mini-gooseneck type microphones. This device is engineered to provide superior shock isolation while maintaining a secure and stable position for the microphone, even on angled surfaces. It is compatible with any mini-gooseneck microphone equipped with a 3-pin male XLR connector, including ASTATIC's 200, 900, and 827 series, as well as the 910, 915, 920, 827-13, 827-17, CTM 16, CTM 17, CTM 18, 215, and 220 series microphones.
The primary function of the GSM-1 is to isolate mini-gooseneck microphones from impact and surface noise that can be transmitted through a lectern or podium. It achieves this through an exclusive dual-point suspension system that combines high-mass metal components with ASTATIC's custom-formulated I.N.R.™ (Impact Noise Rejection) elastomer bushings. This system effectively reduces transmitted impact and surface noise by over 20 dB. Unlike many other shock mount systems, the GSM-1 is designed to prevent microphone "sag" or "droop," even when using longer gooseneck microphones such as the 220, 920, and 827-17.
