The TUF X299 MARK 1 supports NVIDIA® 2-Way/Quad-GPU SLI™ Technology (with 2 PCIex16 graphics cards) and 3-Way SLI™ Technology, as well as AMD® 3-Way/Quad-GPU CrossFireX™ Technology. Support for these technologies depends on the CPU types and VGA cards.
The Intel® X299 Chipset provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 support and Intel Rapid Storage Technology 15. It features 1 x M.2_1 Socket 3 with M key, supporting type 2242/2260/2280 SATA & PCIE 3.0 x 4 mode storage devices, and 1 x M.2_2 Socket 3 with vertical M Key, supporting type 2242/2260/2280/22110 PCIe storage devices only. It is also ready for Intel® Optane™ Memory and includes 8 x SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports, with SATA6G_5/6/7/8 sharing bandwidth with PCIEX4_2. It supports Intel® Smart Response Technology.
