Asus H61M-CS - Jumpers; Clear RTC RAM (CLRTC) Jumper

To erase the RTC RAM:
1. Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord.
2. Movethejumpercapfrompins1-2(default)topins2-3.Keepthecaponpins
2-3forabout5-10seconds,thenmovethecapbacktopins1-2.
3. PlugthepowercordandturnONthecomputer.
4. Holddownthe<Del>keyduringthebootprocessandenterBIOSsetupto
re-enter data.
ExceptwhenclearingtheRTCRAM,neverremovethecaponCLRTCjumperdefault
position.Removingthecapwillcausesystembootfailure!
• Ifthestepsabovedonothelp,removetheonboardbatteryandmovethe
jumperagaintocleartheCMOSRTCRAMdata.AfterclearingtheCMOS,reinstall
the battery.
• YoudonotneedtocleartheRTCwhenthesystemhangsduetooverclocking.
Forsystemfailureduetooverclocking,usetheCPUParameterRecall(C.P.R.)
feature.Shutdownandrebootthesystem,thentheBIOSautomaticallyresets
parametersettingstodefaultvalues.

Clear RTC RAM (3-pin CLRTC)
ThisjumperallowsyoutocleartheRealTimeClock(RTC)RAMinCMOS.Youcanclearthe
CMOSmemoryofdate,time,andsystemsetupparametersbyerasingtheCMOSRTCRAM
data.TheonboardbuttoncellbatterypowerstheRAMdatainCMOS,whichincludesystem
setup information such as system passwords.
