This document is a user guide for the ASUS MX32VQ Series LCD Monitor, providing comprehensive instructions for setup, operation, and maintenance. The monitor is designed to offer a crisp, broad, and bright display, enhancing the visual experience for users.
Function Description
The ASUS MX32VQ LCD Monitor is a widescreen display that integrates various features to optimize user experience. It supports multiple input sources, including HDMI and DisplayPort, allowing for versatile connectivity with different devices. The monitor features an On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for adjusting image settings, sound, and system configurations.
A key feature of this monitor is its Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology, which offers eight preset display modes tailored for different content types. These modes include Standard, sRGB, Scenery, Theater, Game, Night View, Reading, and Darkroom, each optimized for specific viewing scenarios such as document editing, photo viewing, movie watching, or gaming. This technology ensures that the display automatically adjusts color, brightness, contrast, and sharpness to provide the best possible image quality for the selected mode.
The monitor also incorporates a Blue Light Filter to reduce the emission of high-energy blue light from the LED backlight. This feature is designed to alleviate eye strain and reduce the risk of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) during prolonged use. The Blue Light Filter offers four levels of adjustment, with Level 4 being TUV Low Blue Light Certified for optimal eye protection.
For audio, the MX32VQ Series includes integrated satellite speakers and an earphone output. The AudioWizard function provides preset sound modes like Music, Movies, and Gaming, along with a User Mode for customized equalizer settings. This ensures an immersive audio experience complementing the visual display.
Usage Features

Maintenance Features
Proper care and cleaning are essential to maintain the monitor's performance and longevity.
- Handling: Before lifting or repositioning the monitor, it is recommended to disconnect all cables and the power cord. When carrying, grasp the edges of the monitor, avoiding the stand or the cord.
- Cleaning: The monitor should be turned off and unplugged before cleaning. The surface can be cleaned with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed with a cloth dampened with a mild cleaner. It is crucial to avoid cleaners containing alcohol or acetone and never spray cleaner directly onto the screen, as it may cause electric shock or damage.
- Ventilation: The monitor has slots and openings on the back or top of the cabinet for ventilation. These slots should not be blocked, and the product should not be placed near a radiator or heat source unless proper ventilation is ensured.
- Power Supply: The monitor should only be operated from the type of power source indicated on its label. Users should use the appropriate power plug for their local standard and avoid overloading power strips and extension cords to prevent fire or electric shock. An earthing connection should be provided before connecting the mains plug, and disconnected after pulling out the mains plug.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid dust, humidity, and extreme temperatures. The monitor should not be placed in areas where it might get wet and should always be on a stable surface.
- Protection from Surges: Unplugging the unit during lightning storms or when it will not be used for extended periods helps protect it from power surge damage.
- Foreign Objects/Liquids: Never push objects or spill any liquid into the monitor cabinet slots.
- Troubleshooting: The user guide includes a troubleshooting section (FAQ) to address common issues such as the power LED not turning on, no screen image, screen image being too light or dark, image bouncing or having a wave pattern, color defects, or no sound/low sound. This section provides possible solutions, including checking cable connections, adjusting OSD settings, and ensuring proper driver installation.
- Professional Service: If the power supply is broken, or if technical problems persist, users are advised to contact a qualified service technician or retailer and avoid attempting repairs themselves. Product warranty may be voided if the product is repaired, modified, or altered without authorization, or if the serial number is defaced or missing.
- Eye Strain Alleviation: The guide provides tips to alleviate eye strain, such as taking short, frequent breaks, focusing on distant objects periodically, and performing eye exercises.
