Function Description
The ASUS MX32VQ LCD Monitor is a widescreen display that integrates various features to optimize user experience. It supports multiple input sources, including HDMI and DisplayPort, allowing for versatile connectivity with different devices. The monitor features an On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for adjusting image settings, sound, and system configurations.
A key feature of this monitor is its Splendid™ Video Intelligence Technology, which offers eight preset display modes tailored for different content types. These modes include Standard, sRGB, Scenery, Theater, Game, Night View, Reading, and Darkroom, each optimized for specific viewing scenarios such as document editing, photo viewing, movie watching, or gaming. This technology ensures that the display automatically adjusts color, brightness, contrast, and sharpness to provide the best possible image quality for the selected mode.
The monitor also incorporates a Blue Light Filter to reduce the emission of high-energy blue light from the LED backlight. This feature is designed to alleviate eye strain and reduce the risk of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) during prolonged use. The Blue Light Filter offers four levels of adjustment, with Level 4 being TUV Low Blue Light Certified for optimal eye protection.

Usage Features
The ASUS MX32VQ monitor is designed for user-friendly operation with intuitive controls. The control button, located on the bottom of the monitor, serves multiple purposes:
- Power Button/Power Indicator: Used to turn the monitor on or off. The power indicator changes color (White for ON, Amber for Standby, OFF for off) to show the monitor's status.
- (5-way) Button: This versatile button allows users to turn on the monitor, activate the OSD menu, select menu items, and adjust values or navigate through options (up/down/left/right).
- Input Select Button: A hotkey that enables quick switching between HDMI-1, HDMI-2, DisplayPort, Switch To DP1.1, or Switch To DP1.2 input signals.
The monitor's transparent base features convenient control keys for speaker volume and Halo Lighting brightness. These controls are activated by a slight touch around the Harman Kardon logo on the base. Users can adjust the speaker volume and the brightness of the Halo Lighting effect, which can also sync with music tempo in Rhythm Sync mode. The icons for these controls fade away after 4 seconds of inactivity.
The OSD (On-Screen Display) menu provides extensive customization options:
- Splendid: Allows selection from eight preset display modes, each with a Reset option to revert to default settings.
- Blue Light Filter: Adjusts the blue light reduction level to protect eyes.

- Input Select: Manually selects the desired input source.
- System Setup: Contains various system configurations:
- Splendid Demo Mode: Activates a demonstration of the Splendid function.
- GamePlus: A toolkit for gamers, offering features like Crosshair (practice mode), Timer, and FPS Counter. Users can select and activate these functions from a dedicated menu.
- Halo Lighting: Adjusts the Halo Lighting effect with options like Static, Breathing, Rhythm Sync, and Off, along with brightness control.
- DisplayPort Stream: Configures compatibility with the graphic card by selecting DP 1.1 or DP 1.2.
- ECO Mode: Activates power-saving mode.
- OSD Setup: Adjusts OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency.
- Language: Selects the OSD language from a wide range of options including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, Croatian, Hungarian, Romanian, Portuguese, Turkish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Thai, and Indonesian.
- Key Lock: Disables all key functions to prevent accidental changes. It can be disabled by pressing the down key for more than five seconds.
- Information: Displays monitor details.
- Power Indicator: Toggles the power LED indicator on/off.
- Power Key Lock: Disables/enables the power key.
- All Reset: Reverts all settings to factory defaults.

- Handling: Before lifting or repositioning the monitor, it is recommended to disconnect all cables and the power cord. When carrying, grasp the edges of the monitor, avoiding the stand or the cord.
- Cleaning: The monitor should be turned off and unplugged before cleaning. The surface can be cleaned with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed with a cloth dampened with a mild cleaner.
