4. Serial ATA connectors (7-pin SATA1-4)
These connectors are for the Serial ATA signal cables for Serial ATA hard disk drives.
Connect the right-angle side of SATA
signal cable to SATA device.You may
also connect the right-angle side of
SATA cable to the onboard SATA
port to avoid mechanical conict with
huge graphics cards.

5. CPU, chassis, and power fan connectors (4-pin CPU_FAN, 3-pin CHA_FAN,
3-pin PWR_FAN)
The fan connectors support cooling fans of a total of 1A~2.2A (26.4W max.) at +12V.
Connect the fan cables to the fan connectors on the motherboard, ensuring that the
black wire of each cable matches the ground pin of the connector.
DO NOT forget to connect the fan cables to the fan connectors. Insufcient air ow inside
the system may damage the motherboard components. These are not jumpers! Do not
place jumper caps on the fan connectors!
Only the CPU fan supports the ASUS Q-FAN feature.
