Quick reference guide
Telephone base
•  HANDSET LOCATOR / 
INTERCOM: Press to delete 
displayed caller ID entry (page 
XX). While phone is idle, press 
to page handset (page XX), or 
press and hold to delete all 
caller ID entries (page XX).
•  FLASH: During a call, press 
to receive an incoming call if 
call waiting is activated (page 
XX).
•  CLEAR: While using 
menus, press to can-
cel an operation, or 
exit the menu display.
•  CID: Press when 
phone is idle to dis-
play caller ID informa-
tion (page XX). While 
entering numbers or 
letters, press to move 
the cursor to the left.
•  MENU/SELECT: 
Press to store a pro-
gramming option 
(page XX), or to cre-
ate a directory entry 
in memory (page XX).
•  DIR : Press when 
phone is idle to display 
directory entries. While 
entering or modify-
ing names, press to 
advance cursor.
•  DISP DIAL: Press to 
dial number currently 
displayed.
• 
CLOCK: Press to review or 
set clock (page XX).
•  SETUP: Press repeatedly to 
hear setup options (page XX).
•  ANNC.: Press to review or 
record announcement; press 
again to quit (page XX).
•  RECORD: Press to record 
a memo (page XX) or after 
pressing  ANNC. to record 
an outgoing announcement 
(page XX).
•  PLAY/STOP: Press  to 
start or stop message playback 
(page XX).
•  DELETE: Press to delete 
message currently playing, 
hold to delete all old mes-
sages (page XX).
•  ANSWER ON: Press to 
turn answering system on or off 
(page XX).
•  REPEAT : Press to repeat 
message, press twice to play 
previous message (page XX).

SKIP : Press to skip mes-
sage (page XX).
•  REDIAL/PAUSE:
  Before dialing any num-
bers, press to display 
the last number called 
(page XX).
  While dialing or enter-
ing numbers into your 
directory, press to insert 
a four-second dialing 
pause (page XX).
• 
HOLD: Press to place 
call on hold. Press again 
to resume call (page 
XX).
•  VOLUME : During 
a call, press

adjust listening volume

MUTE:  Press to silence 
microphone, press again 
to resume your conver-
sation (page XX).
