7. Before removing the cover, check that the power supply is switched off
to avoid any risk of injury or electrocution.
8. The electrical installation must include an all-pole cut-off device (circuit
breaker, fuse) upstream of the unit in accordance with the local
installation rules in force (30 mA differential circuit breaker).
9. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a cable or a special
pack available from the manufacturer or the after-sales service.
10. Depending on the nominal pressure, an 0.7 or 0.9 MPa (7 or 9 bar)
safety device (or any other new pressure relief device) measuring ½" or
¾" must be installed in a frost-free location at the water heater inlet
which complies with the local standards in force
11. The pressure relief valve drainage device must be activated on a
regular basis in order to remove limescale deposits and to check that it is
no blocked.
12. No hydraulic accessory must be located between the safety device and
the unit’s cold water inlet. A pressure reducer (not supplied) is required if
the supply pressure is greater than 0.5 MPa (5 bar) and will be installed
on the main supply pipe.
13. Connect the safety device to an uncovered, constantly downward-
sloping drain pipe in a frost-free location intended to evacuate the
expansion water from the water heater or for use when draining the water
heater.
14. The pipes used must be able to withstand 1 MPa (10 bar) and 100°C.
15. To drain the unit, switch the electric power supply and cold water off
then open the hot water taps to operate the drainage valve of the safety
device. Note: To drain water heaters installed under sinks, disconnect the
hydraulic connections and turn upside down.
16. The products presented in this manual may be modified at any time in
response to technological developments and to satisfy the standards in
force. These units comply with directives 2014/30/EU relating to
electromagnetic compatibility, 2014/35/EU relating to low voltage,
2011/65/EU relating to ROHS and 2013/814/EU which completes
directive 2009/125/EC relating to co-creation.
