  To vacuum and seal properly with your Atmovac Food Saver, the edge of the bag must be across the seal bar. Ensure the bag is inside the chamber seal gasket without wrinkles along the seal bar. If using a roll bag, verify the first seal is complete without gaps. Also, the vacuum sealer and bag should be clean, dry, and free of debris. Wipe the seal bar and inside the bag before trying again.

  If your vacuum bag loses vacuum after being sealed with the Atmovac Food Saver, it could be due to sharp items puncturing small holes in the bags. To prevent this, cover sharp edges with a paper towel and vacuum in a new bag. Also, some fruits and vegetables can release gases if not properly blanched or frozen before packaging. Open the bag; if spoilage has begun, discard the food. Otherwise, consume it immediately. If you're unsure, discard the food.
