Possible deviation from spec‐
ification
Possible cause of fault Corrective action
♦ Constriction or obstruction in re‐
frigerant circuit (for example, in‐
side the refrigerant line between
the Service connection “low pres‐
sure side“ and the A/C compres‐
sor).
– Clean refrigerant circuit (flush with
refrigerant R134a, refer to
⇒ “1.4.13 Refrigerant Circuit Flush‐
ing With Refrigerant R134a“,
page 32 or blow through with com‐
pressed air and nitrogen, refer to
⇒ “1.4.12 Refrigerant Circuit Flush‐
ing With Compressed Air and Nitro‐
gen “, page 29 ).
– Replace hose or pipe if kinked or
constricted
♦ A/C compressor faulty. – Replace A/C compressor.
Possible deviation from spec‐
ification
Possible cause of fault Corrective action
• High pressure increases
above specification
• Low pressure quickly
drops to value in graph or
below
• Required cooling output is
not attained
♦ Actuation of A/C compressor reg‐
ulator valve -N280- malfunction‐
ing
♦ Constriction or obstruction in re‐
frigerant circuit
– Check the A/C compressor regulator
valve activation.
– Run hand over refrigerant circuit to
check for differences in temperature
• If difference in temperature is found
at one component:
– Replace hose or pipe if kinked or
constricted
– In the event of an obstruction, flush
refrigerant circuit with compressed
air and nitrogen.
• If no malfunction can be found:
– Clean refrigerant circuit (flush with
refrigerant R134a, refer to
⇒ “1.4.13 Refrigerant Circuit Flush‐
ing With Refrigerant R134a“,
page 32 or blow through with com‐
pressed air and nitrogen, refer to
⇒ “1.4.12 Refrigerant Circuit Flush‐
ing With Compressed Air and Nitro‐
gen “, page 29 ).
