MMI Touch Display
The MMI Touch Display is a central interface for accessing various vehicle functions and features.
- Function Description: It provides touchscreen access to Radio, Media, Phone, available Navigation, Phone Apps, Vehicle settings, and more.
- Usage Features:
- Display Area: Allows selection of function menus, application of settings, and display of content. When connected to Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, the display switches to the mobile device's operating system. Icons can be moved by pressing and holding, then dragging. Menu pages are navigated by swiping left or right. The Home screen is accessed by pressing the Home button.
- Quick Access: Returns to the Home screen or quickly switches between four selected menus. Icons can be moved to the quick access bar by pressing and holding them in the main display area. The Home button cannot be moved.
- Status Display: Shows information like connected mobile devices, data connection, and Bluetooth® activation.
- Notification Center: Accessed by pulling the status bar downward or pressing the notification icon. Displays status information and notifications, allows management of connected devices, personal profiles, date and time settings, and other content. Notifications can be deleted by dragging them to the right edge.
- Back: Returns one step in the menu hierarchy.
- Saving Favorites: Radio stations, telephone contacts, and navigation destinations can be saved as favorites. To save, press and hold the item until the option menu appears, then choose "Store as favorite." A solid white star indicates a saved favorite. Favorites can be accessed from the Home screen via "Radio » Source » Favorites," "Telephone » Favorites," or "Navigation » Favorites."
Automatic Climate Control
The 3-zone climate control system allows separate temperature settings for the driver's side, front passenger side, and rear passenger compartment.
- Function Description: Automatically maintains a set temperature once activated.
- Usage Features:
- AUTO: Displays set temperature. Press to activate/deactivate AUTO for each zone. Changing air distribution or fan speed turns off AUTO.
- 3-ZONE/SYNC: Toggles between 3-ZONE, SYNC, and Set Rear. SYNC applies driver's settings to all other areas (except seat heating/ventilation). SYNC is disabled if front or rear passenger settings are changed. Set Rear allows rear seat settings to be controlled from the front panel.
- Air Distribution: Adjusts air distribution by pressing up or down.
- Blower: Adjusts fan speed by pressing up or down.
- A/C: Toggles ON, OFF, A/C MAX. A/C system works only when the fan is on. A/C MAX cools and dehumidifies the interior quickly, setting temperature to LO and increasing fan speed.
- Seat Heating: Adjusts heat level by repeated presses.
- Seat Ventilation (optional): Adjusts seat ventilation airflow by repeated presses.
- MAX Defrost: Clears windshield fog/frost quickly, directing air to windshield vents and regulating temperature automatically.
- Recirculation: Recirculates cabin air, preventing outside air entry.
- Rear Window Defogger: Activates electric heater in rear glass, automatically turning off after 10-20 minutes.
- OFF: Deactivates climate control. Rear heating/cooling can be turned off via Set Rear with the 3-ZONE/SYNC button.
- Residual Heat: When ignition is off, pressing the driver's temperature knob (1) uses residual engine heat to warm the interior for about 15 minutes.
Cruise Control
The cruise control system helps maintain a set speed.
- Function Description: Activates and manages cruising speed.
- Usage Features:
- Activate: Pull the control stalk toward you to the ON position.
- Set Cruising Speed: Press the SET button at the end of the stalk at the desired speed. The set speed and CRUISE indicator light are shown in the driver information system.
- Changing Speed:
- Accelerate/decelerate, then press SET again.
- Push stalk up/down one detent for 1 mph increments.
- Push stalk up/down to the second detent for 5 mph increments.
- Cancel/Resume:
- To cancel, press the brake pedal or push the stalk slightly away to the CANCEL position. The CRUISE indicator light goes off.
- To resume, pull the stalk toward you to return to the last set speed. The last set speed remains in memory until cruise control is turned off or the Audi is turned off.
Audi Adaptive Cruise Control (Vehicles Equipped)
Combines speed and distance regulation to maintain distance from a vehicle ahead, braking and accelerating as necessary.
- Usage Features:
- Turn on/off or set/change speed as outlined for standard cruise control. Turning adaptive cruise control off also turns off traffic jam assist.
- View display in the instrument cluster by selecting "Driver assistance view" using the VIEW button on the multifunction steering wheel.
- Setting Distance: Tap the rocker switch to display current distance (five settings). The last setting is stored when ignition is off. Increase/decrease distance in increments by tapping or . A warning displays if the distance falls below the set threshold. The warning threshold can be set, changed, or deleted in the MMI touch display via "Vehicle » Driver assistance settings » Distance warning."
Driver Assistance Settings
Accessed from the home menu via "Vehicle » Driver assistance."
- Usage Features: Depending on equipment, features may include: Speed warning, Adaptive cruise control, Distance warning, Audi pre sense, Side assist.
Park Assist
Automatically steers the car into parallel or perpendicular parking spaces using ultrasonic sensors.
- Usage Features: Driver manages gear shift, acceleration, braking, and monitors surroundings. To turn on, press the P button in the center console. The LED turns on, and the park assist icon Po appears. For driver's side parking, activate the left turn signal. To switch off, press the Park Assist button again.
Navigation
The optional MMI Navigation system provides user-definable views, routing selections, and more.
- Function Description: Guides to destinations.
- Usage Features:
- Intelligent Search: Enter search terms for navigation destinations in any order. Search for points of interest, contacts, previous destinations, received destinations, or favorites.
- From home menu, select Navigation, then Search icon. Displays shortcuts for common destinations.
- Use touchscreen to enter address/name via keyboard or handwriting recognition.
- Matching locations are displayed; choose an option.
- Select Start for route guidance.
- Online Search Engine Provider: Select "Navigation » » G," enter search terms, select suggested terms to narrow, then select destination and Start. (Requires Audi connect subscription).
- Intelligent Search with Voice Recognition:
- Short press Voice Recognition button on steering wheel or MMI touch display to activate voice recognition. Speak commands after the beep.
- Say an address, Point of Interest, or generic category.
- Choose destination from list.
- Long press Voice Recognition button for phone's digital assistant.
- To switch off, long press Voice Recognition button, or say "Cancel," or press Cancel on touch display.
- Saving Favorites: Press and hold displayed destination until Option menu appears, then choose "Store as favorite." A solid white star indicates a saved favorite. Access via "Navigation » » Favorites."

Bluetooth® Technology
Connects compatible phones for calls and contact synchronization.
- Function Description: Allows hands-free calls and access to contacts via the Infotainment system.
- Usage Features:
- Initial Setup (Pairing):
- Ignition on, vehicle in Park.
- Activate phone's Bluetooth.
- Open phone's Bluetooth menu, ensure "Audi MMI XXXX" appears.
- Select Phone on touch display to view available Bluetooth devices.
- Select "Connect mobile device."
- Select your device from the list. Press Refresh if not displayed.
- Select "Pair" on your device when PINs match.
- Select "Allow" on your device to sync contacts.
- Open Bluetooth submenu on device and enable Show Notifications, Sync Contacts, and Apple CarPlay for iOS.
- Switch Between Paired Phones: From vehicle touch display, select "Phone » ." The secondary phone becomes primary.
Voice Recognition
Enables online Speech dialog system.
- Usage Features:
- Enable: On MMI, select "Settings » General » Speech dialog system," then consent to online recognizer by sliding button right.
- Activate: Short press Voice Recognition button on steering wheel for MMI voice recognition (audio, navigation, telephone commands). Long press for phone's digital assistant (e.g., "Call Mary Smith, mobile").
- Deactivate: Long press Voice Recognition button, or say "Cancel," or press Cancel on touch display.
Accesses multiple media sources.
- Function Description: Plays audio from Bluetooth-connected devices, USB, Radio/Satellite, online media (via Wi-Fi hotspot), and SD cards.
- Usage Features:
- Access Source: Select "Media" on touch display, then "Source" and choose an option.
- Connect Additional Mobile Devices: Select "Media » Source » Connect external device," activate Bluetooth on external device, select "New connection," and choose from available Bluetooth devices. Press Refresh if device not displayed. Confirm PIN on mobile device.
Audi Smartphone Interface
Connects compatible smartphones to the MMI, adapting phone content to the display.
- Function Description: Provides easy access to smartphone information, apps, and voice recognition through the MMI display.
- Usage Features:
- Apple CarPlay® (Wired):
- Ignition on, vehicle in Park.
- iPhone unlocked, running latest iOS.
- Connect iPhone with manufacturer-approved USB cable.
- Respond to prompts on MMI and iPhone.
- When Connected: Long press Voice Recognition button for Siri. Make/receive calls, send/receive texts, set reminders, get turn-by-turn navigation, see recent places, listen to music apps.
- Features: Siri Voice Control (enabled on device). Activate Siri via long press Voice Recognition button or long press Home button on touch display.
- Home: Returns to Apple CarPlay home screen or Dashboard. Long press activates Siri.
- Phone: Siri assists with calls, missed calls, voicemail.
- Maps: Siri assists with directions, traffic, estimated time.
- Messages: Siri sends, reads, replies to texts.
- Audi MMI icon: Returns to Audi MMI system. Apple CarPlay button returns to Apple CarPlay interface.
- Additional apps: Pandora, iHeartRadio, Spotify.
* Wireless Apple CarPlay® (Vehicles with Navigation):
- iPhone Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, on Bluetooth menu when connecting.
- Select "Phone apps » To connected devices » New connection."
- Select iPhone from list.
- Follow prompts on MMI and iPhone.
* **Android Auto™:**
1. Android phone running most current OS.
2. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on.
3. Active data plan.
4. Connect phone to USB port via USB cable.
5. Respond to prompts on MMI and phone. Download Android Auto app if prompted.

Wi-Fi Settings
Allows passengers to connect to the Internet via the MMI Wi-Fi hotspot.

- Select "Settings » Connection settings » Wi-Fi."
- Press toggle icon to activate/deactivate.
- Password can be changed in settings.
- Wi-Fi hotspot is active and visible to other devices when on. Visibility can be switched on/off in Wi-Fi settings.

- Function Description: Connects the vehicle to the myAudi app for personalized services.

- Set up myAudi account and complete Audi connect key user setup.
- From Home Screen, select "User » myAudi login."
