This illustration shows the HDMI+ARC module, model 242.
These specifications cover the input and output functions of the Audio Precision HDMI+ARC
(High Definition Multimedia Interface plus Audio Return Channel) I/O module. HDMI+ARC
is available as a stand-alone module, model 242.
The model HDMI+ARC module is fully compatible with HDMI 1.3a; additionally, it sup-
ports a subset of HDMI 1.4a, the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature. HDMI EDID 1.4 is
supported, and CEC communications on the Source and Sink connectors is supported. Go to

HDMI is designed to carry high-bandwidth digital streams providing an audio/video interface
that includes content protection and a bi-directional channel for interaction with connected
electronic devices. ARC (Audio Return Channel) provides an additional digital audio chan-
nel, which can simplify interface cabling in certain applications, for user convenience.
