The Audio2000'S® AMX7323 is a professional eight-channel audio mixer designed for a wide range of audio applications, from live performances to studio recording. This versatile unit integrates a USB interface, Bluetooth connectivity, and DSP sound effects, offering comprehensive control over your audio signals.

Function Description

The core function of the AMX7323 is to mix and process audio signals from multiple sources. It features eight channels, allowing for the connection of various microphones, musical instruments, and other audio devices. Each channel is equipped with a balanced XLR microphone input jack and an unbalanced 1/4" input jack, providing flexibility for different types of connections. For condenser microphones, a +48V phantom power switch is available, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.

Each input channel includes a [GAIN] control knob to adjust the input signal level, preventing clipping and maintaining sound quality. A [PEAK] LED indicator on each channel blinks when the input signal level exceeds a predetermined threshold, prompting the user to lower the gain. This visual feedback is crucial for achieving clean audio.

The mixer incorporates a 3-band ultra-musical equalizer (EQ) on all channels, with dedicated [HIGH] (treble), [MID] (alto), and [LOW] (bass) control knobs. These allow for precise tonal shaping of each input signal, with gain adjustments ranging from -15dB to +15dB at specific frequencies (12.5KHz for high, 2.5KHz for mid, and 80Hz for low). This detailed EQ control enables users to fine-tune the sound of individual instruments or vocals, ensuring a balanced and professional mix.

A built-in DSP sound effects processor provides sixteen selectable sound effect modes, controlled by the [PROGRAM] controller. Users can adjust the [REPEAT] setting of the echo effect to control the number of echo intervals and the [FX LEVEL] control to determine the amount of the sound effect applied. This allows for creative sound design and enhancement of performances.

The AMX7323 also features a USB interface, enabling direct connection to a computer for recording and music playback. This functionality transforms the mixer into a versatile audio interface, simplifying the recording process and allowing for seamless integration with digital audio workstations. The USB interface supports various music formats, making it suitable for playing back tracks during live events or studio sessions.

Bluetooth connectivity is another key feature, allowing users to wirelessly stream audio from digital devices. The [USB PLAYER] control panel facilitates easy selection of input sources, including USB, computer recording, and Bluetooth. Pairing with Bluetooth devices is straightforward, enhancing convenience and reducing cable clutter.

For monitoring, the mixer includes a [PHONES] stereo output jack for earphones, with a dedicated [PHONES] Level Control. A [CTRL OUT] output jack provides an additional monitor output. The main stereo output is handled by [MAIN OUT] Stereo Output Jacks, which connect to power amplifiers or active speakers. A [STEREO] Level Fader controls the overall output volume to these main outputs.

The mixer also includes [SEND & RETURN] jacks, which are 1/4" TS jacks. The [SEND] output can be used as a monitoring signal for power amplifiers or active speakers, while the [RETURN] input can connect to external sound sources. These jacks also allow for the insertion of external line devices such as gates, compressors, equalizers, and reverb effects into the signal path, providing advanced signal processing capabilities.

Usage Features

The AMX7323 is designed for intuitive operation, with clearly labeled controls and visual indicators. The [LEVEL] control knob on each channel allows for individual volume adjustment, while the [STEREO] Level Fader provides master volume control for the main output. A stereo signal level meter, featuring green, yellow, and red LED lights, offers real-time visual feedback on the output signal level, helping users prevent clipping and maintain optimal audio levels. The red POWER LED indicator below the level meter confirms the unit is powered on.

The USB interface display shows the status and details of USB operations, including recording time when in recording mode. The [USB PLAYER] buttons provide control over playback, including play/pause, skipping tracks, and adjusting volume. The [MODE] button allows for easy switching between USB, recording, and Bluetooth input sources.

The mixer's multi-voltage power supply ensures worldwide compatibility, making it suitable for use in various regions without needing external voltage converters. The sealed rotary control knobs are designed to resist dust and grime, contributing to the unit's longevity and reliable performance in different environments.

Maintenance Features

The AMX7323 is built with a rugged steel chassis, providing durability and protection for internal components. The sealed rotary control knobs also contribute to low maintenance by preventing dust and grime from affecting their operation.

For optimal performance and longevity, the manual emphasizes several important safety and installation precautions. Adequate air circulation is crucial to prevent internal heat build-up, so the unit should not be placed on surfaces that block ventilation holes or near heat sources. Cleaning should be done with a dry cloth.

In case of any issues, a troubleshooting guide is provided, covering common problems such as no power, no output sound, or distorted sound. This guide offers practical solutions, such as checking power connections, adjusting level faders, and verifying audio cables. For more complex issues, users are advised to contact qualified service personnel.

The unit's packaging materials are recommended to be retained for future transport, ensuring safe shipping if the unit needs to be moved or sent for service. The manual also outlines procedures for factory service and provides details on the limited warranty, covering defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.
