Connection and Setup
Please make sure that the HiFi amplier is switched o before connecting speakers and other components.
If you are only using two speakers, connect the two main speaker outputs (the outputs with screw terminals) to the
speakers. If you wish to also connect centre and satellite speakers, please use the surround output speaker terminals.
Make sure you connect all the speakers to the correct polarity.
You may now connect HiFi components such as DVD and CD players, cassette players and MP3 players to the inputs
on the rear panel.
Foroptimalradioreception,theHiFiampliershouldbeconnectedtothehouseantenna.Alternatively,youmayuse
the supplied wire antenna with ground wire. Both cables are connected to the two terminals of the tuner section of
the rear panel.
Operation
TheAunaHiFireceiveroersseveralpossibleapplications:AsanamplierofHiFicomponentssuchasCDplayers,
DVDplayersortapedecks,asareceiverforFMradiostations,andasakaraokeamplier.
Global settings: Adjustment of sound, volume, and balance
TheAunaHiFiamplierprovidescontrolofthreeparametrestooptimisethesoundofyourHiFisystem:
• With the balance control, you may adjust the left-right balance of the stereo spectrum.
• With the ‘bass’ and ‘treble’ controls of the device, you may boost or cut low and high frequencies.
• With the ‘master volume’ dial on the device and the ‘volume’ buttons on the remote control, you may adjust
the overall volume.
To use as a HiFi amplier:
Connect your stereo equipment to the Auna receiver. The inputs on the back correspond to three buttons on the
front:
• Press the ‘VCD / Aux’ button to select the VCD / Aux stereo signal.
• Press ‘Tape’ to select the to tape stereo signal.
• Press ‘DVD’ to select the DVD stereo signal.
Youmayalsoassigndierentinputs.Forexample,youmayconnectanMP3playerwithaheadphoneoutputto
the VCD / Aux input, or a CD player to the tape input.
To use as an FM radio receiver:
TooperatetheHiFiamplierasaradioreceiver,pleaseusethesuppliedremotecontrol.Selectchanneltuner/
CD. With the Search function on the remote control , you may automatically search the available stations:
• Press‘Search’tondthenextavailablestation.
• Press ‘Search’ a second time to jump to the next available station.
• Select ‘Reset’ to go back to the beginning of the radio frequency band.
Please note that you cannot perform manual tuning with the device.
To use as a karaoke amplier:
Various sources can be used for karaoke music. Connect the audio outputs of your karaoke source, e. g. your lap-
toporVCDplayer,tooneoftherearinputsoftheAunaHiFiamplierandselecttheappropriatechannelfromthe
control panel.
Up to two microphones may be connected via the front inputs. The sound of the microphones may be adjusted as
follows:
• The‘echo’controlallowsyoutoaddandmixanechoeect.
• ‘M.Tone’ is a 1-band equaliser that can adjust the tone.
• ‘M.Vol’ adjusts the volume of the two microphones.
