The maintenance of the RIO 46 is rather simplified.
Before carrying out maintenance operations that require the disassembling of the cover of the roof unit and of the air
diffuser, thus possible contact with electric parts, it is necessary to DISCONNECT the battery from the vehicle and
DISCONNECT all 220V power supplies.
It is sufficient to clean the condensing battery (removing the cover of the roof unit) once a year. This can be done with compressed air, being
careful not to damage the aluminum fins.
On these insects, plant droppings and other items tend to deposit causing a decrease in the efficiency of the heat exchanger.
At the same time, it is a good idea to verify the operation of the condenser fan.
Remember that the cleaning of the condenser and the checking of the correct functioning of the ventilation are extremely important
operations.
In fact, a very dirty or not ventilating condenser not only makes the system less efficient but can also shorten the life of the compressor or
even cause its breakage.
Once every two months, it will be necessary to clean the filter located on the internal diffuser, under the air inlet hole, with compressed air.
It is advisable to replace the filter once a year.
It is good practice to avoid operating the air-conditioner without a filter in the air inlet hole, since dirt could accumulate on the evaporating
battery causing a decrease in the efficiency of the system.
The RIO 46 comes supplied with refrigerant and is already tested. The compressor is already supplied with lubricant (see the following table)
The airtight cooling system undergoes a scrupulous control to identify any problems and gas leaks.
Any repairs or interventions for filling or recovering refrigerant, must be carried out at Autoclima authorized garages and by
qualified personnel.
The RIO 46 air-conditioners are identifiable by a number applied on the external cover that provides the following information:
version and power of the system
If problems should arise and you need to contact a qualified technician, it is appropriate to point out the RIO 46 version and
possibly the serial number indicated on a label with bar code applied on the inside of the air diffuser.
