Resettofactorydefaultsettings
Important
Resettofactorydefaultshouldbeusedwithcaution.Aresettofactorydefaultresetsallsettings,includingtheIPaddress,to
thefactorydefaultvalues.
Toresettheproducttothefactorydefaultsettings:
1.Disconnectpowerfromtheproduct.
2.Pressandholdthecontrolbuttonwhilereconnectingpower.SeeProductoverviewonpage33.
3.Keepthecontrolbuttonpressedfor10secondsuntilthestatusLEDindicatorturnsamberforthesecondtime.
4.Releasethecontrolbutton.TheprocessiscompletewhenthestatusLEDindicatorturnsgreen.Theproducthasbeenreset
tothefactorydefaultsettings.IfnoDHCPserverisavailableonthenetwork,thedefaultIPaddressis192.168.0.90.
5.Usetheinstallationandmanagementsoftwaretools,assignanIPaddress,setthepassword,andaccesstheproduct.

Firmwareisthesoftwarethatdeterminesthefunctionalityofnetworkdevices.Whenyoutroubleshootaproblem,werecommend
youtostartbycheckingthecurrentrmwareversion.Thelatestrmwareversionmightcontainacorrectionthatxesyour
particularproblem.
Tocheckthecurrentrmware:
1.Gotothedeviceinterface>Status.
2.SeethermwareversionunderDeviceinfo.

Preconguredandcustomizedsettingsaresavedwhenyouupgradethermware(providedthatthefeaturesareavailablein
thenewrmware)althoughthisisnotguaranteedbyAxisCommunicationsAB.

Makesurethedeviceremainsconnectedtothepowersourcethroughouttheupgradeprocess.

Whenyouupgradethedevicewiththelatestrmwareintheactivetrack,theproductreceivesthelatestfunctionality
available.Alwaysreadtheupgradeinstructionsandreleasenotesavailablewitheachnewreleasebeforeyouupgradethe

2.Logintothedeviceasanadministrator.
3.GotoMaintenance>FirmwareupgradeandclickUpgrade.
Whentheupgradehasnished,theproductrestartsautomatically.
