Serial Port Page
To enable a serial link to the AXIS 200+, click Serial port at the top of
the Configuration page. This is needed if you want to transfer
snapshots and configuration data via a connecting modem. You can
also use the serial port for input/output operation via a TCP client
application.
The following is a description of the Serial port parameters:

To ensure that the new configuration is activated within the AXIS
200+, you must restart the unit after the serial mode has been
enabled. To do this, simply remove and then re-insert the power
connector. Alternatively, you can type the following command in
the URL of your Web browser:
Parameter name Description
[Mode]
Serial Mode When set to Disabled, PPP or zmodem access is not
available. When set to Full Support, serial mode is enabled for
both incoming and outgoing modem connection. When set to
Inbound only, the AXIS 200+ answers incoming calls, but
does not dial up. When set to Outbound only, the AXIS 200+
dials up according to the behavior programmed in the
cronscript, but does not answer incoming calls. When set to
TCP input/output or HTTP input/output, the serial port can be
used for input/output operation via a TCP or HTTp client
application respectively.
[Settings]
TCP Port The TCP port number in the range 1-65535 to be used for
communication between the AXIS 200+ and a TCP client
application. When set to 0, the TCP input/output operation is
disabled.
Modem Type Autodetected Modem or Null Modem.
Detected Modem Set internally by the AXIS 200+.
Baud Rate 19200 or 38400 is recommended. When used with
GSM/cellular phones, always set the Baud rate to 9600.
Flow Control Modem server operation mode. Always set to Hardware
(RTS/CTS).
Modem Init String String of setup commands to be sent to the modem. Used for
non-US Robotics modems.
Busy Redial
Attempts
Specifies how many additional attempts the AXIS 200+ will
make to establish a connection in case the line is busy.
Link Quality Determines link quality in PPP. Enabled is default. Only
disable when connecting to your camera from a Macintosh.
