AccountInformation
•Name–Enteradescriptivename.Thiscanforexamplebearstandlastname,arole,oralocation.Thenameisusedas
analiasandisespeciallyusefulwhenseveralaccountshavethesameuserID.
•Defaultaccount–Selecttomakethisthedefaultaccount.Onlyoneaccountcanbethedefaultaccount.
Atstartup,thersttimetheproductisaccessedorafterareset,apeeraccountiscreatedautomaticallyandsettobethe
defaultaccount.Thispeeraccountcanonlyberemovedifatleastonemoreaccounthasbeenaddedtothelist.
ThedefaultaccountwillbeusedwhenmakingaVAPIX
®
ApplicationProgrammingInterface(API)callwithoutspecifying
whichSIPaccounttocallfrom.Formoreinformation,visitwww.axis.com/developer.
AccountCredentials
•UserID–UserIDistypicallytheextensionorphonenumberassignedtotheAxisproductattheSIPserver.Itisalso
possibletouseaSIPURIasaUserIDifrequiredbytheSIPserver.
•AuthenticationID–EntertheAuthenticaionIDusedforauthenticatingagainsttheSIPserver.Thisistypicallythe
sameastheUserID.
•Password–EnterthepasswordassociatedwiththeSIPaccountforauthenticatingagainsttheSIPserver.
•CallerID–ThenamethatispresentedtotherecipientofcallsfromthisAxisproduct.
TocreateanaccountthatisregisteredwithaPBXoraserviceprovider,entertheuserID,password,andtheregistraraddressor
domainname.SeeSIPServerSettingsbelow.IfyouonlyenterauserID,theaccountwillbeusedasapeer-to-peeraccount.
Note
UnlessthedevicesareconnectedtoNATswithSIP-specicportforwardingsuchasSTUNorTURN,theaccountwillonlybe

SIPServerSettings
•Domainname–Ifavailable,enterthepublicdomainname.ThedomainnamewillbeshownaspartoftheSIPaddress

•Registraraddress–EntertheSIPserver’sregistraraddress.ThisistopointouttheSIPregistrarwithwhichtheaccount
shouldregisteritself.TheSIPregistraristhepartofthePBXthatkeepstrackofalltheextensions.

TheregistraraddressshouldbeanIPv4address.Theproduct’sVoIPcapabilitiescurrentlydonotincludesupportforIPv6.
TransportSettings
•EnableSIPS–SelecttouseSecureSessionInitiationProtocol(SIPS).SIPSusestheTLStransportmodetoencrypttrafc.If
youenableSIPS,youcannotselectanyothertransportmodethanTLS.
