SOCKSisanetworkingproxyprotocol.TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtouseaSOCKSservertoreachnetworksontheother

QoS(QualityofService)guaranteesacertainlevelofaspeciedresourcetoselectedtrafconanetwork.AQoS-awarenetwork

prioritizesnetworktrafcandprovidesagreaternetworkreliabilitybycontrollingtheamountofbandwidthanapplicationmayuse.

TheQoSsettingsareconguredunderSystemOptions>Network>QoS.UsingDSCP(DifferentiatedServicesCodepoint)values,the

SNMP

TheSimpleNetworkManagementProtocol(SNMP)allowsremotemanagementofnetworkdevices.AnSNMPcommunityisthe

groupofdevicesandmanagementstationrunningSNMP.Communitynamesareusedtoidentifygroups.

AXISVideoMIB(ManagementInformationBase)forvideohardwarecanbeusedtomonitorAxis-specic,hardware-related

Dependingonthelevelofsecurityrequired,selecttheversiononSNMPtouse.

TrapsareusedbytheAxisproducttosendmessagestoamanagementsystemonimportanteventsandstatuschanges.CheckEnable

trapsandentertheIPaddresswherethetrapmessageshouldbesentandtheTrapcommunitythatshouldreceivethemessage.
