One-clickenabled-Pressandholdtheproduct’scontrolbutton(seeProductoverviewonpage7)forabout3secondstoconnectto
anAVHSserviceovertheInternet.Onceregistered,AlwayswillbeenabledandtheAxisproductstaysconnectedtotheAVHSservice.
Iftheproductisnotregisteredwithin24hoursfromwhenthebuttonispressed,theproductwilldisconnectfromtheAVHSservice.
Always-TheAxisproductwillconstantlyattempttoconnecttotheAVHSserviceovertheInternet.Onceregistered,theproductwill
stayconnectedtotheservice.Thisoptioncanbeusedwhentheproductisalreadyinstalledanditisnotconvenientorpossibleto
usetheone-clickinstallation.

Services,clicktheAXISInternetDynamicDNSServiceSettingsbutton(requiresaccesstotheInternet).Thedomainnamecurrently
registeredatAXISInternetDynamicDNSservicefortheproductcanatanytimeberemoved.

DNS(DomainNameService)providesthetranslationofhostnamestoIPaddresses.TheDNSsettingsareconguredunderSystem
Options>Network>TCP/IP>Advanced.
SelectObtainDNSserveraddressviaDHCPtousetheDNSsettingsprovidedbytheDHCPserver.
Tomakemanualsettings,selectUsethefollowingDNSserveraddressandspecifythefollowing:
Domainname-Enterthedomain(s)tosearchforthehostnameusedbytheAxisproduct.Multipledomainscanbeseparatedby
semicolons.Thehostnameisalwaystherstpartofafullyqualieddomainname,forexample,myserveristhehostnameinthe
fullyqualieddomainnamemyserver.mycompany.comwheremycompany.comisthedomainname.
Primary/SecondaryDNSserver-EntertheIPaddressesoftheprimaryandsecondaryDNSservers.ThesecondaryDNSserveris
optionalandwillbeusediftheprimaryisunavailable.
NTPConguration
NTP(NetworkTimeProtocol)isusedtosynchronizetheclocktimesofdevicesinanetwork.TheNTPsettingsareconguredunder

SelectObtainNTPserveraddressviaDHCPtousetheNTPsettingsprovidedbytheDHCPserver.

TheAxisproductcanbeaccessedusingahostnameinsteadofanIPaddress.ThehostnameisusuallythesameastheassignedDNS
name.ThehostnameisconguredunderSystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Advanced.
SelectObtainhostnameviaIPv4DHCPtousehostnameprovidedbytheDHCPserverrunningonIPv4.
SelectUsethehostnametosetthehostnamemanually.
SelectEnabledynamicDNSupdatestodynamicallyupdatelocalDNSserverswhenevertheAxisproduct’sIPaddresschanges.For
