Overview

This document describes the features and specifications of the Azumi L4G mobile phone.

Device Overview

The Azumi L4G is a basic mobile phone with a keypad, a screen, and essential communication and multimedia functions. It is designed for ease of use and includes features such as a camera, flashlight, and FM radio.

Keys and Components

The phone's physical layout includes:

  • Receiver Speaker (1): For listening to calls.
  • Screen (2): Displays information and menus.
  • Left Function Key (3): Used for menu navigation and selecting options.
  • Right Function Key (4): Used for menu navigation and selecting options.
  • Call button (5): Initiates calls.
  • Hang up / Power Key (6): Ends calls and powers the device on/off.
  • OK button (7): Confirms selections and actions.
  • Navigation buttons (8): Used for navigating through menus and options.
  • Keypad (9): For entering numbers and text.
  • Lock phone (10): A dedicated button for locking the phone.
  • Turn on flashlight (11): A dedicated button for activating the flashlight.
  • Activate silent Mode (12): A dedicated button for switching to silent mode.

Basic Functions

SIM and Memory Card Installation

To insert the SIM card, locate the SIM card slot (SIM 1 and SIM 2 are indicated) and slide the SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down until it fits correctly. For additional storage, a memory card can be installed in the designated slot, also with the gold contacts facing down.

Power On/Off

To turn the phone on or off, press and hold the Power key (6) until the screen activates or deactivates.

Battery Charge

New batteries are partially charged. A full charge is recommended before initial use. Battery performance may improve after several charge/discharge cycles.

Operation of the Menu

Messages

The phone supports Short Message Service (SMS) for sending and managing text messages. Access the message center from the main menu using the left function key to view and operate available options.

My Files

The File Manager helps organize files in folders. Files on the phone memory and memory card are managed separately. Options include opening, copying, deleting, and moving files such as images, audio, e-books, and photos.

Contacts

The phone can store up to 300 names and phone numbers in its memory. SIM card storage capacity depends on the SIM card type.

Calls Logs

This function allows users to view missed, made, and received calls, and to delete call records.

STK

STK (SIM Toolkit) service provides tools from the SIM card. Specific options depend on the SIM card and network operator.

Multimedia

Camera

Allows taking pictures and recording dynamic images. The OK key (7) takes photos, the left function key accesses settings, and the right function key exits the capture interface.

Video-recorder

Enables video recording. The OK key starts recording, the left function key stops, and the right function key cancels.

Image

Users can view stored images.

Audio

Plays audio files. The OK key controls playback/pause, the right direction key advances, and the left direction key rewinds.

FM Radio

The phone includes an FM radio with automatic tuning and saved stations. It can be used while other applications are running.

Video

Plays video files. The OK key plays/pauses, arrow keys control volume (up for volume+, down for volume-), and right/left arrow keys advance/rewind the video.

Organize

Alarm

Features three programmable alarms.

Calendar

Allows scheduling tasks and verifying dates.

Calculator

Provides basic arithmetic functions.

Sound Recorder

Records audio. The OK key starts recording, the left function key pauses, and the right function key saves.

World Clock

Allows adding world clocks.

Unit Converter

Converts units for weight (e.g., kg to pounds).

Memo

Allows users to record notes.

Ebook

Enables checking electronic files stored on the phone or T card.

Bluetooth

Allows connecting to other Bluetooth devices for file transfer or using Bluetooth headsets for music. A memory card may be required for large file transfers.

Games

The phone includes pre-installed games.

Settings

Call Settings
  • Call divert: Diverts incoming calls to a specified number.
  • Call waiting: Notifies the user of an incoming call while on another call, displaying the caller's number.
  • Others:
    • Call time minute Reminder: Sets a tone reminder for every minute during a call.
    • Auto redial: Automatically redials a dialed number if no response is received.
    • Vibration when connected: Provides a vibration feedback when a call connects.
    • Auto record voice call: Automatically records calls upon answering.
Phone Settings
  • Time and date: Configures city, time/date format, and time zone.
  • Language Settings: Selects the device and menu language.
  • Shortcuts settings: Assigns arrow keys as shortcuts to important functions from standby mode.
  • Auto power on/off: Sets automatic boot-up or shutdown times.
  • Restore factory settings: Restores all system data to original values and erases user data. The default password is 1234. Users are advised to back up data before using this function.
Display
  • Wallpaper settings: Sets the phone's wallpaper.
  • Screen saver settings: Options include Off, Sea world, Star, Snake, Game of life, Customized image, and Customized animation.
  • Contrast: Adjusts screen backlight brightness (seven levels).
  • Backlight: Sets backlight duration (Always on, 30secs, 20secs, 15secs, 10secs, 5secs).
Security
  • SIM security: Activates, deactivates, or modifies the PIN code. Entering three invalid PIN codes will block the SIM card, requiring a PUK1 code from the network operator.
  • Phone locked: Activates or deactivates the phone password. The default password is 1234. If activated, the password must be entered each time the phone is turned on.
  • Privacy: Sets passwords for specific menus (default password is 1234).
  • Automatic keypad lock: Prevents accidental phone use but allows emergency calls.
Profiles

Users can switch between different modes (Normal, Silent, Meeting, Indoor, Outdoor) based on occasion. Modes can be customized.

Allows setting various network parameters.

Caution for Users

  • Avoid contact with water.
  • Use only Azumi accessories.
  • Do not open the phone case, as this voids the warranty.
  • If the phone or accessories malfunction, seek assistance from an authorized technical support center.
  • Prolonged use of stereo headphones at high volume can cause hearing damage.
  • Do not use the phone while charging.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures: below -10°C (14°F) or above 40°C (104°F).

FCC Compliance

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it does not cause harmful interference. Any unauthorized modifications could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. The device has been tested and complies with Class B digital device limits.

Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) Information

The phone meets government requirements for exposure to radio waves. The SAR limit in the USA (FCC) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. For the Azumi L4G (FCC ID: QRP-FP-011), the highest SAR value reported at the ear is 0.796W/kg, and when properly worn on the body, it is 1.064W/kg.

Body-worn Operation

For body-worn operations, a minimum separation distance of 10mm must be maintained between the user's body and the handset (including the antenna). Third-party belt clips, holsters, and similar accessories should not contain metallic components and must meet RF exposure requirements. Only supplied or approved antennas should be used.
