greatest of care.
Please read these instructions prior to mounting your
unit.
We reserve the right to make technical changes to
improve the product.
Caution: have all work involving the 230V mains
supply carried out by a qualied electrician! Before
starting disconnect the mains!
Please be aware, that the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus is
not suitable as an intrusion detector, since it is not
equipped with a tamper contact according to VDS
regulations.

BEG is the world’s st manufacturer to achieve remote
adjustment of a movement detector using an infrared
remote control.
The LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus can still be set in the tradi-
tional manner using adjustable dials, and put into
operation.
More functions can be set using the remote control
(see chapter IR remote control.
Mounting
Optimum sensitivity is achieved by mounting the unit
in a position lateral to the walking detection. The
optimum mounting height is 2.5m (gure 2 point 3).
The range is lowered accordingly if the unit is mounted
at a lower height.
Distance from optical sources of interference 5m
minimum.
The unit should be mounted at a distance of 5
to 6m from the connected light, (1+2) use the
cover-up clips supplied if necessary. (Fig.13)
 Mount the lights above the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus
and not underneath it.
 Protected mounting location
The LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus should be protected
from the rain and direct sunlight in order to
avoid unwanted switching on of the unit due to
environmental inuences.
 Mounting of several LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus
The coverage of the individual units must overlap
in order to guarantee complete monitoring.
 Wall/ceiling mounting
Twist the sensor element and terminal box 180°
in a clockwise direction away from one another.
The LUXOMAT
®
can then be mounted on the ceil-
ing without an additional device.
For wall mounting twist back 180° in a counter
clockwise direction.
 Fixing of the wall terminal box and electrical
connection
The wall terminal box of the LUXOMAT
®
RC-plus
is identical to that of the LUXOMAT
®
2000-Vario.
Both devices can thus be used to replace one
another without any problem. Their connections
are compatible.
