2.3 Charging the battery
The electric bike comes with a Lithium-ion battery that powers the motor.
Unlike other batteries, Lithium-ion batteries do not have any memory effect and can be
charged even when not completely empty. The battery reaches its full capacity after
being charged and emptied several times. Before using the battery for the first time, it
must be charged for 7 hours.
First connect the charger to the battery. The socket for teh charger is found on
the right of the battery
Plug the charger into a power socket.
When charging, the charger’s LED will be lighted red to show that the battery is
charging.
The LED is lighted green when the battery is fully charged.
After charging, unplug the charger from the power supply first, and then
disconnect it from the battery.
If the LED does not light up in red, then the battery may be too hot.
Let it cool for a while before charging.
