3-1Needle guard adjustment (Needle system ELx705CF 90/14 )
A) Overlock Front Needle Guard Adjustment
(You are required to adjust this adjustment first)
a) Remove overlock back needle guard.
b) Rotate the machine pulley and lower the needle to the lowest position.
c) Make a clearance of
0mm
between front & back needle guard and needle.
d) Rotate the machine pulley and make sure the clearance of
0mm
between
the front & back needle guard and the needle.
B) Overlock Rear Needle Guard Adjustment
a) Replace the overlock back needle guard
b) Rotate the machine pulley and bring top of lower looper at the needle position.
c) Make a clearance of
0mm
between the overlock back needle guard and needle.
d) Rotate the machine pulley and make sure the clearance of
0mm
between
the overlock back needle guard and the needle.
C) Chain Needle Front Needle Guard Adjustment
a) Rotate the machine pulley and lower the needle to the lowest position.
b) Make sure clearance of 0.2 - 0.3mm between the chain looper front needle guard
and the C3 needle.
c) Rotate the machine pulley and bring top of chain looper at the right side of the C3
needle on the way of
FORWARD
of the chain looper.
d) Adjust the chain looper front needle guard towards the C3 needle ,make a
clearance of 0 ~0.02mm between the front & back needle guard and C3 needle.
3-2 CHAIN LOOPER THREAD TAKE-UP ADJUSTMENT
A) Timing Adjustment
CORRECT TIMING - When the thread take-up is lowest position,the eye of chain looper at
the center of the C1 needle on the way of RETURNING of the chain looper.
a) Loosen timing adjustment screw (A) and rotate the thread take - up driving cam at
the correct position
b) Tighten the fixing screw (A) firmly.
B) Thread take-up height position adjustment

a) Rotate the machine pulley and bring thread take-up at the lowest position.
b) Loosen thread take -up height position adjustment screw (B).
c) Make a distance 16 mm between top of thread guide and top of thread take-up.
d) Tighten the fixing screw (B) firmly.
3-3 Chain needle tension unit adjustment
thread : 100% polyester spun thread (maxi- lock or metrosene)
a) Remove a seal of chain needle tension knob.
b) Rotate tension knob at
0
position .
c) Loosen chain needle tension adjusting screw.
d) Threading chain needle tension unit with spun thread and pull the thread from the
tension unit.
e) Rotate the tension knob and make a tension of
55g
.
f) Tighten the screw firmly and replace the seal.
