Overview

The BaByliss CURL & WAVE TRIO STYLER 2750U is a versatile hair styling appliance designed to create curls, waves, and texture. It comes with three interchangeable barrel attachments: a conical wand for smooth curls, an oval wand for volume and loose waves, and a twisted wand for a beachy textured finish.

Safety Cautions and Important Safety Information:

This appliance is designed for use as described in the instruction booklet and should be retained for future reference. It is a burn hazard as it gets hot during use. It must always be kept out of reach of children (during and after use, and whilst cooling). Extra care should be taken if used on or near children, and it should not be used on very young children.

For UK users, this appliance must not be used in the bathroom. Outside the UK, if used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even when switched off. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom is advisable. Users should consult their installer for advice.

WARNING! The appliance must not be used near bathtubs, showers, basins, or other vessels containing water. It should never be immersed in water or other liquids.

Before each use, the appliance should be inspected for noticeable signs of damage. If damaged or dropped, discontinue use immediately and contact the Conair Customer Care Line. Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged; in such an event, discontinue use immediately and return the appliance to the Customer Care Centre for replacement. No repair should be attempted by the consumer.

The appliance should not be left unattended when switched on or plugged in. During use, it should not be placed on any heat-sensitive surface, even when using the provided heat mat. WARNING! Only the handle should be held during use, as the hot surfaces can be extremely hot. Care must be taken to avoid direct contact of the hot surface with the skin, particularly the eyes, ears, face, and neck.

This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.

Automatic Shut-Off Feature:

For added safety, the appliance features an automatic shut-off. If the wand is switched on continuously for more than 72 minutes, it will automatically switch off. To continue using the appliance after this time, simply slide the switch to the '0' setting, then slide it back to the desired heat setting to turn the power on again.

Instructions for Use:

  1. Preparation: Ensure hair is dry and combed through to remove tangles. Divide hair into sections ready for styling.
  2. Attachment Fitting: Before fitting or removing attachments, ensure the appliance is cool, switched off, and unplugged. Turn the locking ring on the handle as far as possible to the right to the release position (marked with the unlock symbol). Align the desired attachment to the locking ring on the power handle. Push the attachment into the power handle until the heat rest is flush against the locking ring. If there is resistance, check that the locking ring is fully rotated to the release position. Once the attachment is in place, secure it by turning the locking ring as far as possible to the left to the lock position (marked with the lock symbol).
  3. Power On: Plug the appliance into a suitable mains socket. Slide the switch to 'I' to turn on. The 'on' indicator light will illuminate and flash until the selected heat setting has been reached.
  4. Placement: Always place the appliance on a firm surface using the safety stand on its base. Do not place it on any heat-sensitive surface.
  5. Heating: Allow the appliance to heat up.
  6. Styling (Oval and Conical Wand): Wind hair around the barrel at a slight angle in a spiral motion. Ensure hair is distributed evenly, with the entire section touching the barrel, avoiding overlay. If using the conical barrel, start winding hair at the thicker portion. Hold in place for 5-10 seconds, depending on hair texture and length. To remove, pull the appliance away from the hair. Allow the curl to cool before styling. Repeat on each hair section.
  7. Styling (Twisted Wand): To create texture, wind each section spirally around the barrel, distributing it over all sections. Take care to avoid the hot surface touching the scalp, face, eyes, and neck. Hold in place for 5-10 seconds, depending on hair texture and length. To remove, twist the appliance away from the hair. Allow the curl to cool before styling. Repeat on each hair section.
  8. Power Off and Storage: After use, slide the switch to '0' to turn off and unplug the appliance. Allow it to cool completely before storing away.

Heat Settings:

The appliance offers different heat settings suitable for various hair types. For delicate, fine, bleached, or colored hair, lower heat settings are recommended. For thicker hair, higher heat settings can be used. It is advised to perform a test on initial use to ensure the correct temperature for the specific hair type. Start on the lowest setting and increase the temperature until the desired result is achieved.

  • 0 = OFF
  • I = 180°C
  • II = 210°C

Heat Protection Mat:

A heat protection mat is provided for use during and after styling. During use, the appliance should not be placed on any heat-sensitive surface, even with the mat. After use, switch off, unplug, and immediately wrap the appliance in the heat mat to allow it to cool fully before storing. Keep it out of reach of children as it will remain hot for several minutes.

Heat Protective Glove:

A universal heat protective glove is supplied to protect the hand from temporary contact with the barrel when wrapping hair. This glove is designed for initial contact protection only; prolonged contact with the hot surface will cause discomfort.

Care & Maintenance:

To maintain the appliance in optimal condition:

  • Do not wrap the lead around the appliance; instead, coil it loosely by the side.
  • Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
  • Always unplug after use.
  • Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
  • Do not coil the lead around the appliance after use, as this may cause damage. Instead, coil loosely by the side of the appliance.
