If your Baileigh Industrial Lathe slip roll is creating cones instead of cylinders, it could be due to several reasons. The rolls might not be parallel to each other, or excessive pressure might be applied to one spot. Additionally, the material sheet could be dirty, or the roll itself might be damaged. To resolve this, adjust the rear roll to be parallel to the top roll. Reduce the radius and make the bend in several passes. Also, clean the material and polish any nicks in the roller.
