What to do if my Bananza Air Handler motor does not operate?
    • M
      Michael CampbellAug 9, 2025
If the motor of your Bananza Air Handler isn't working, there are several potential causes and solutions. First, ensure the main disconnect switch is turned ON. If it is, check for blown fuses in the disconnect or control transformer and replace them, resetting the breaker if necessary (with the disconnect off). Also, verify the wiring between the remote panel and air handler, replacing the switch if needed. Other potential issues include a cool-down timer that doesn't reset (replace the TD4 timer), a defective time delay relay (replace TR1), or a motor starter that isn't operating (replace the starter). Finally, check for a tripped motor overload, resetting it, ensuring the FLA setting is correct, and tightening screws on heater packs or the overload if applicable.

How to fix a Bananza Air Handlers blower that does not operate?
    • J
      Jacob LawrenceAug 19, 2025
If the blower in your Bananza Air Handler isn't working, begin by checking the belts for breakage or looseness; replace or tighten them as needed. Next, inspect the motor and blower sheaves (pulleys) to ensure they are properly installed and the setscrews are adequately torqued. Lastly, examine the blower bearings to see if they turn freely; replace the bearing(s) if they do not.

Why won't the damper open on my Bananza Air Handlers?
    • D
      Debra HesterAug 29, 2025
If the damper on your Bananza Air Handler isn't opening, first check for any obstructions. Then, make sure the linkage is tight and secure. Verify that there is 120V at terminal 3B. If these steps don't resolve the issue, replace the damper actuator.
