Overview

This document describes the "Slide 'N Soak Splash Park™," an inflatable water slide designed for domestic family use. It emphasizes safety, proper setup, operation, and maintenance to ensure a fun and secure experience, particularly for children between 5 and 12 years old, under adult supervision.

Function Description

The "Slide 'N Soak Splash Park™" is an inflatable water slide designed for outdoor recreational use, providing a refreshing lagoon-style pool and an overhead shower sprinkler. It inflates rapidly, typically in under 2 minutes, using an included continuous airflow blower. The primary function is to allow users to climb a side wall and then slide down into a splash pool, offering a fun and active water play experience. The design incorporates heavy-duty Dura-Tech™ construction for lasting strength and durability.

Usage Features

The inflatable is intended for household use only and requires adult assembly and continuous supervision during play. It is not suitable for adults, children over 12, or under 5 years of age, and has a maximum individual user weight limit of 120 lb (54 kg) on the platform, with a combined user maximum weight limit of 150 lb (68 kg) on the platform. The total weight limit for the whole product is 600 lb (270 kg) with a maximum of 5 users. The maximum fall height is 56 in (142 cm).

Setup and Placement:

The inflatable must be placed on level ground, specifically a flat lawn, free from rocks, bumps, depressions, sticks, or other hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt. It should not be set up in windy, snowy, or rainy weather. A minimum distance of 10 ft (305 cm) from any free-standing structures or obstructions (houses, garages, fences, trees, playground equipment, large rocks, water, overhanging branches, laundry lines, or electrical wires) is required to ensure a safe play area.

Inflation:

The long intake tube at the back of the inflatable is attached to the blower motor's mouth using a Velcro strap, ensuring a secure fit. The short air release tube is closed with a drawstring. The blower should be positioned in a straight line, perpendicular and level to the back of the inflatable, on a stable surface, and secured with ground stakes. It's crucial that the product is fully inflated before children are allowed to use it. The blower must run continuously while children are playing.

Water System:

The water hose assembly is laid out, and sprayers are attached to corresponding numbered positions on the inflatable's arch using Velcro patches. Water tubing is secured with Velcro hooks and loops. Before connecting the garden hose, the inflatable should be wet. The screw cap on the hose assembly is attached to the garden hose, and water is turned on slowly, adjusting pressure so that water sprays on the sliding surface, keeping it wet and slick. The pool must be filled with at least 8 in (20 cm) of water before playing, and all slide surfaces, platforms, and climbing walls should be thoroughly wet for optimal performance. The product tub should not be filled beyond the maximum fill line marked inside the pool wall.

Sliding Instructions:

Users must get wet before sliding. They should not stand on the top of the slide, slide rails, or the slide itself. To slide, users must climb the climbing wall, sit at the top with feet pointing down, scoot forward, and slide feet first. Sliding should always be feet first, never on knees, stomach, or head. Jumping or diving off the slide or into the pool is prohibited. Only one child should slide at a time, and the sliding path and landing area must be clear of all obstacles and other users. The entering area of the pool must be clear of all submerged and non-submerged obstacles. The slide should never be used while facing direct sunlight.

Safety Precautions:

The manual strongly warns against drowning risk, emphasizing constant supervision of children, especially toddlers, and ensuring the pool is emptied or access prevented when not in use. It advises against diving into shallow water due to the risk of neck injury and paralysis. Electrocution risk is addressed by keeping electrical lines, radios, speakers, and other appliances away from the inflatable and avoiding placement near or under overhead electrical lines. Users must remove shoes, eyeglasses, and sharp objects before playing. Flipping, piling, pushing, or wrestling is prohibited. Only one child is allowed on the platform and climbing wall at a time. The water hose should not be curled. Pets should be kept off the inflatable. Items not specifically designed for the inflatable, such as jump ropes or clotheslines, should not be attached, as they pose a strangulation hazard.

Emergency Evacuation:

In case of emergency, users should evacuate through designated exits and walk to a safe location, avoiding the air intake tube and blower motor area to prevent tripping.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Drying:

After use, all users must exit the product. The water hose should be turned off and disconnected, and the inflatable pool area drained by opening the water valve. The inflatable must be completely dried, allowing it to stand inflated for at least 2 hours before wiping down with a dry beach towel or absorbent cloth, paying attention to deep pockets in the climbing wall and splash pool. To prevent mold and other damage, it is strongly advised to air dry the product with the blower motor to ensure it is completely dry before folding for storage. The blower surface can be cleaned with a dry cloth or a cloth dampened with a neutral, non-inflammable, nontoxic cleaning and sanitizing solution or pure water. Chemical solutions should not be used on the blower as they may damage its coating and plastic parts. The blower should never be cleaned in water.

Storage:

Before storing, the blower is unplugged, and the long intake tube is disconnected. The air release tube is opened to allow complete deflation within 5 minutes. The clear water tubing and ground stakes are removed. The inflatable should be allowed to dry completely, which may take up to 48 hours, ensuring it is free of dirt, leaves, and sand. The inflatable is then folded in half multiple times, parallel to the release tube, and rolled tightly from the end opposite the intake and release tubes, avoiding any creasing. The rolled-up inflatable, along with the blower, should be stored in the carrying bag in a dry, secure place, away from children, to prevent suffocation. Neither the product nor the blower should be left outside when not in use. The water spraying hose assembly should be stored in an adequately ventilated area, separate from the inflatable.

Regular Checks:

The inflatable should be checked at regular intervals for holes, tears, or other damage. A damaged inflatable should not be used and could result in serious injury. A thorough check of the entire product should be completed at the beginning of each season or series of use. Any damaged or deteriorated components require discontinuation of use and contact with the manufacturer. Ground stakes should be regularly checked for condition and security to prevent the inflatable from becoming unstable. Foot holes should be cleaned, and debris removed after each play cycle, ensuring no water or debris in the pocket steps before storing.

Blower Maintenance:

The blower should be kept out of reach of children and should not be left unattended when in use. No objects should cover the air intake, and no sand, small stones, or other objects should be sucked into it. Fingers or sharp objects should never be inserted into the air intake. The power supply to the blower should not be exchanged for any other type of supply; if damaged, it must be repaired by a technician. The blower should not be used in the rain or exposed to strong sunlight. Extension cords should not be used to avoid electrocution hazards. The blower has an Auto-Reset Protector that trips if the motor overheats, and the blower should be turned off and allowed to cool down before resuming use. The power cord should be handled carefully, not twisted, kept dry, and stored dry.

GFCI Test:

Before each use, a simple test of the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) must be conducted. This involves pushing the "Reset" button, switching the blower "ON" (pressing "I"), pushing the "Test" button (blower should go "OFF"), and then pushing "Reset" again (blower should go "ON"). If the blower remains "ON" after pushing "Test," the blower or GFCI is not working properly, and a qualified electrician should be consulted.

Repair Patches:

A repair patch is included for accidental punctures. To use, cut a suitably sized patch, round the corners to prevent peeling, ensure the area to be patched is clean, and press the patch firmly over the puncture. The inflatable should not be inflated for 30 minutes after applying a patch.
