CTCSS/DCS tones
CTCSS/DCS tones are a sort of „access codes” which enabling the device to communicate only with
the other users set on the same frequency and on the same CTCSS/DCS tone. For each channel, you
can set up to 50 CTCSS tones and 210 DCS codes. Undesired signals coming from other stations set
on the same frequency but with different CTCSS/DCS tones won’t be received.
VOX mode
VOX mode allows you to talk without using the PTT button. VOX mode can be enabled or disabled
using the programming software (CPS programming path: Edit > VOX > Vox Gain), and can be acti-
vated by speaking into the microphone VOX mode will be automatically activated. The sensitivity of
the VOX mode can be adjusted using the programming software 5 different levels (1-5). Level 2 is
set by default.
Battery charging
The device is equipped for using rechargeable battery which can be recharged by following the rules
below:
connect the microUSB plug of the power cord to the device;
connect the USB plug of the power cord to the power adapter;
plug the power adapter into an AC/DC electrical outlet.
It takes 4-5 hours to fully recharge the device. For maximum battery life, it is recommended to charge
the battery when the device is off and the battery is fully discharged.
Power saving mode
Power saving mode enables a reduction in power consumption of up to 50%. If it has been set, it au-
tomatically activates when the device does not receive any signal for more than 5 seconds in order
to save the battery life. Power saving mode can be disabled only through programming software.
