  If the CD skips while playing, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the CD compartment is completely closed. If that's not the issue, reinsert the disc to make sure it's correctly placed. The disc itself might be dirty or defective, so try using another CD. Finally, moisture condensation on the disc can also cause skipping; wipe the disc with a soft cloth to resolve this.

  If you're experiencing poor or no sound on AM/FM, several factors could be at play. Start by ensuring the FUNCTION switch is set to RADIO. Then, make sure you've properly tuned to the AM or FM broadcast station. For FM, reorient the FM antenna. If you're on AM, rotate the unit until you get the best reception. Also, check that the volume isn't set to the minimum.
