What to do if my Barracuda PUMPS Water Pump does not run?

  If your Barracuda PUMPS Water Pump isn't running, here are some things to check: * Ensure the plug is securely connected and not corroded; clean the prongs if needed. * Check the line circuit breaker and replace the fuse if burned out. * If the pump has a thermal overload, unplug it for 30 minutes, then plug it back in. * Also, make sure that water is high enough to activate the float; you can turn the pump upside down to manually activate the float, or wait for more water to flow to the pump. * If the motor has failed, call 1-844-251-7445.

  If your Barracuda PUMPS Water Pump isn't pumping water out effectively, consider these potential issues: * The screen might be blocked, so clean it. * The hose could be kinked, bent sharply, or coiled; straighten it out. * There might be an airlock in the discharge; clean the airlock release feature, or slightly loosen the hose while the pump is running. * The hose diameter might be too small or the hose length too long; use a larger diameter or shorter hose, respectively. * If you're using an extension cord, it might not be providing enough power; use a shorter, heavier gauge cord. * If the vertical pumping distance (head) is too high, reduce the distance or increase the diameter of the discharge pipe/hose. * If the impeller is broken, call 1-844-251-7445 for a replacement.
