Starting to drive
After starting the engine while it is still idling (loose), do not rapidly add gas
to avoid overloading the engine.
When going up a larger hill or with a load on the vehicle, the engine needs
more power, so shift to a lower gear before the bike loses power.
When descending a slight hill, ease off the gas, do not depress the clutch lever
and brake using the front or rear brake as appropriate. On steep hills,
downshift to third-second-first and brake with both brakes
Gearbox operation
A four-speed gearbox has been fitted to the present motorcycle. It is operated by a
foot lever located on the left side of the vehicle. When driving in heavy traffic, going
up hills or turning, remember to downshift to keep the engine running smoothly.
When shifting gears, press the clutch lever, then shift into the correct gear, then
smoothly release the clutch lever.
