Water hardness setting
1. Press the 'MENU / OK' button and
hold it for 3 seconds, and with the
'∧ ' and '∨ ' setting buttons select the
'Machine' option. Confirm the
selection with 'MENU / OK' button.
2. Use '∧' and '∨' setting buttons, and
keep pressing them to select 'Water
hardness' option and use 'MENU /
OK' button to confirm the selection.
3. Now, use '∧' and '∨' setting buttons,
and keep pressing them to select
the water hardness level in the local
water mains system and use 'MENU
/ OK' button to confirm the selection.
4. Then, press the 'Back' button, to
leave the menu.

Grinding coarseness setting
1. The coarseness of the ground coffee must be adapted to the selected coffee
beans.
NOTE: The grinding coarseness may only be set when the appliance is not
preparing any beverages.
2. Open the grinder cover. It is found before the coffee container.
Use the adjustment knob to set the selected grinding coarseness from 'fine'
(grinding level 1) to 'coarse' (grinding level 5). The grinder is factory-set to level 3.
