GenuTrain is a high-quality medical product.
Please read through these instructions for use care-
fully and if you have any questions contact your doctor,
medical retailer or our Technical Service department.
Intended use
GenuTrain, the active knee support, produces its
eect during movement. Here the knitted fabric and
the pad compress and massage the soft tissues. The
resulting enhanced circulation in the joint capsule
and promotion of lymph drainage lead to reduced
swelling, pain relief and improved function while, at
the same time, taking the strain o the kneecap.
The three-dimensional knit ensures an anatomically
perfect fit for the GenuTrain. The compression-reduced
support edges stop the support cutting into the leg.
Indications
• Irritation after an injury, operation or overexertion
of tendons, muscles or ligaments
• Degenerative changes in the knee (osteoarthritis)
• Joint inflammation (arthritis)
• Feeling of instability
Risks of using this product
Important Information
• GenuTrain is a prescribable product. In case you
have received it by prescription from your doctor
or physiotherapist, the use and duration of use
must be agreed with her/him before utilizing the
product. In any case, instruction is required by
the specialist

who provided you with the product.
GenuTrain should only be applied in accordance
with the instructions contained in these usage
directions and for the listed areas of application.
• No liability is accepted for improper use of the product.
• Changes must not be made for the product. Non
compliance can reduce the performance of the
product and thus no liability will be accepted.
• Should you notice any unusual changes (e.g.
increased symptoms), please contact your medical
advisor without delay.
• A combination with other products (e.g.
compression stockings) must be discussed
beforehand with your medical advisor.
• The product’s unique action is produced primarily
during physical activity. The product should
be removed during prolonged rest breaks (e.g.
sleeping, continous sitting).
• Avoid the use of ointments, lotions or any
substances including grease or acids.
• Side eects, that aect the entire organism,
have not been reported to date. Correct fitting is
assumed. Any supports and orthoses

externally to the body can, if tightened excessively,
lead to local pressure signs or, rarely, constrict the
underlying blood vessels or nerves.
Contains natural rubber latex (Elastodiene)
which can cause skin irritation in persons with
an allergy. Take o the support if you notice any
allergic reaction.
Contra-indications
Hypersensitive reactions harmful to health have not
been reported to date. In the following conditions
such aids should only be fitted and applied after
consultation with your medical advisor:
1. Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of
the body, particularly if inflammation is present.
Likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness
and excessive heat build-up.
2. Varicose veins.
3. Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the
legs (e.g. diabetes mellitus).
4. Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue
swellings of uncertain origin located remotely from
the fitted aid.
Application instructions
Fitting GenuTrain (Illustrated)
• Firmly grip the top of the support with both hands
(one either side of the lateral spines) at the level of
the ring-shaped donning aid and pull over the knee
jointuntil the knee cap is free from pressure and is
surrounded by the silicone insert.

• Adjust as required until a snug fit is achieved.

• In contact sports a protective covering should be
applied.
Removing GenuTrain
To remove the support, pull down at the bottom of
the support on both sides near the stays. To avoid
damaging the support, do not turn it inside out!

Cleaning instructions
The sewn-in label of the GenuTrain, which contains
information on the product name, size, manufacturer,
washing instructions and CE mark, is located on the
upper edge of the support.
All Train products

can be machine washed
separately at 30 °C with liquid detergent.
Please note the following when washing your Train
products:
1. For products with Velcro® straps: Remove the
straps if possible, or fasten them securely at the
place provided for this purpose.
2. If possible, also remove pads/inserts and their
terrycloth covers before washing.
We recommend using a mesh bag (spin cycle:
maximum of 500 revolutions per minute). Air dry your
Train product. Do not dry it in a dryer because this
can compromise the knitted fabric.
Please wash your Train product regularly so that the
compression of the knitted fabric can be retained.
This product has been tested by our in-house quality
management system. If you have any complaints,
please contact your medical retailer only.
Please note that only clean goods can be dealt with.
Notes on reuse
The product is intented to be fitted only once and to
one patient.
Warranty
The legal provisions of the country in which the prod-
uct was purchased apply. Country-specific warranty
regulations that govern the relationship between the
retailer and the buyer also apply where relevant. If you
believe that a claim may be made under the warranty,
please first contact the retailer from which you pur
-
chased the product directly.
Please do not make any changes to the product your-
self. This particularly applies to individual adjustments
made by specialists. Please follow our instructions
for use and care. These are based on our experience
gained over many years and ensure the functionality of
our medically eective products for a long time. Only
aids that function optimally can help you. Failure to
follow the instructions may also restrict the warranty.
Disposal
The product can be disposed of without any
restrictions.

Utilisation
GenuTrain, la genouillère active, déploie ses vertus
thérapeutiques lors du mouvement, en particulier
lors de la rééducation. Le tricot et la pelote agissent
à cet eet par compression et massage des
parties molles de l’articulation. L’amélioration de la
vascularisation de la capsule articulaire et l’aide à la
circulation lymphatique entraînent une diminution de
l’œdème, un soulagement des douleurs et une amé
-
lioration fonctionelle, tout en soulageant la rotule.
Grâce à la technique du tissage dans les trois
dimensions, la GenuTrain s’adapte parfaitement à
l’anatomie. L’action compressive réduite aux ex-
trémités de la genouillère évite l’eet de strangulation.
Indications
• Etats inflammatoires post-traumatiques,
post-opératoires, ou surcharge des tendons, des
muscles et des ligaments
• Pathologie dégénerative du genou (arthrose)
• Inflammations articulaires (arthrite)

Remarques importantes
• GenuTrain est un produit soumis à la prescription.
Si GenuTrain vous a été prescrite par le médecin,
convenez impérativement avec lui de son
utilisation et de sa durée d‘application. Dans tous
les cas, des conseils doivent vous être prodigués
par le personnel spécialisé

qui vous a fourni le
produit. GenuTrain doit se porter con formément
aux recommandations de ce mode d’emploi et dans
le respect des indications données.
• En cas d’utilisation impropre, nous déclinons toute
responsabilité.
• Aucune modification du produit n‘est autorisée. En
cas de non-respect, les propriétés du produit peuvent
en être aectées et notre responsabilité dégagée.
• Au cas où vous constateriez l’apparition d’eets
indésirables (p.ex. une réapparition de la douleur),
nous vous conseillons de consulter immédiatement
votre médecin.
• Une combinaison avec d’autres produits (p.ex. des
bas de contention) doit préalablement être discutée
avec votre médecin traitant.
• La GenuTrain agit surtout au cours des activités
physiques. Pendant les phases de repos
prolongées (p.ex. sommeil, station assise
prolongée), la GenuTrain doit être retirée.
• Ne pas utiliser de produits gras ou acides, de
crèmes ou de lotions.
• Aucun eet secondaire sur l’organisme en
général n´est connu à ce jour. Il est cependant
indispensable que ce dispositif soit correctement
mis en place et utilisé. Tous les dispositifs
médicaux externes positionnés sur les diérentes
parties du corps (bandages, orthèses

…) peuvent
conduire à des pressions locales excessives s’ils
sont portés trop serrés, et plus rarement à un
rétrécissement du calibre des vaisseaux sanguins
ou des nerfs.
Contient du caoutchouc naturel (élastodiène) qui
peut provoquer des irritations cutanées en cas
d’hypersensibilité. Veuillez retirer le orthèse si
vous observez des réactions allergiques.
Contre-indications
En cas d’existence ou d’apparition des symptômes
cités ci-après, l’utilisation de ce produit doit être
précédée d’une consultation auprès de votre médecin
habituel :
1. Dermatoses/lésions cutanées dans la zone en
contact avec l’appareillage, notamment en cas
d’inflammations: cicatrices avec enflure, rougeur
et hyper thermie.
2. Varices (maladies variqueuses).
3. Troubles sensoriels et troubles circulatoires des
jambes (par ex. diabète).
4. Troubles de la circulation lymphatique – également
tuméfactions in expliquées des masses molles
éloignées de l’appareillage posé.
Conseils d’utilisation
Mise en place de GenuTrain
• Tenir le bandage au niveau de la partie supérieure
des ressorts spiral latéraux à la hauteur de l‘aide
d‘enfilage annulaire et la tirer jusque sur le genou,
de manière à ce que la rotule soit à l’intérieur de
l’anneau sans exercer de pression.

• Si nécessaire, corriger le positionnement de la
genouillère.

• Le port d’un revêtement de protection est
obligatoire en cas de sport de combat.
Retrait de la GenuTrain
Pour retirer le bandage, tirez des deux côtés sur
son extrémité inférieure au niveau des baleines.
Pour prévenir tout endommagement du produit, le
bandage ne doit pas être retourné!

Conseil de nettoyage
L’étiquette cousue de GenuTraincomprenant des
informations sur le nom du produit, sa taille, le
fabricant, les consignes de lavage et le sigle CE se
trouve sur le bord supérieur de la genouillère.
Tous les produits Train

sont lavables en machine à
30 °C, séparément et avec une lessive liquide pour linge
délicat. Veuillez tenir compte des conseils suivants :
1. Produits avec Velcro® : enlevez les éléments
auto-aggripants lorsque possible ou fixez-les
fermement à l’emplacement prévu.
