Why is my BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 overshooting the pit temperature?
    • A
      Ashley NelsonAug 2, 2025
If your BBQ Guru Control System is causing your pit temperature to overshoot, it's likely that too much air is getting to the fire, causing temperature spikes. Check your cooker and ensure the firebox is tightly sealed, eliminating any gaps that might allow excess air to reach the fire.

What to do if my BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 Control Systems cooker won't reach desired temperature?
    • K
      Kelly JacksonAug 6, 2025
If your BBQ Guru Control System is running but your cooker isn't reaching the desired temperature, several factors could be at play: 1. Old charcoal or ash might be blocking the fire grate, restricting airflow. Ensure you've cleaned out all charcoal from the bottom of your cooker to allow free airflow. 2. The fan may not be providing enough air. Verify it's securely plugged in and running. If the fan is plugged in but not running while the control is cycling, the fan may be damaged, or there could be an issue with your control unit.

What to do if my BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 display is not visible?
    • A
      April McculloughAug 16, 2025
If your BBQ Guru Control System is plugged in and the alarm or fan is working, but the display is blank, there could be a couple of reasons. First, the power supply might not be providing enough power for the display to function. Try using a different power outlet to see if that resolves the issue. If that doesn't work, the display on your Guru may be damaged, requiring you to return it for repair or replacement of the control unit.

How to tell if my BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 pit probe is damaged?
    • B
      Barbara OlsonAug 22, 2025
There are several reasons why the pit probe of your BBQ Guru Control Systems might be damaged and not reading properly: * If the pit probe wire has small, hard, reddish bumps on the outside of the mesh, you will need to purchase a replacement pit probe. * If the pit probe is incorrectly displaying a very high temperature (usually around 400 degrees), swap the pit probe with the food probe to see if the issue persists. * The control unit may be out of calibration or damaged. You can attempt to recalibrate the control unit, following the instructions in the user manual.
