Overview

This document is a user manual for the Bcube A8 Plus treadmill, providing instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in multiple languages (Italian, German, and English).

The Bcube A8 Plus treadmill is designed for home use and complies with the EN 957-1/6 HB standard. It is not suitable for therapeutic use or commercial environments. The device is rated for a maximum user weight of 140 kg and operates on a 220V ± 5% power supply.

Function Description:

The treadmill allows users to engage in various fitness programs, including manual mode, countdown modes (time, distance, calories), and user-defined programs (U1-U3). It also features a Body Mass Index (BMI) test function and Heart Rate Control (HRC) programs (HR1-HR3). The console displays key metrics such as time, speed, distance, calories, pulse, and incline.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Max User's Weight: 140 kg
  • Power Supply: 220V ± 5%
  • Speed Range: 1-20 km/h
  • Incline Range: 1-15%
  • Time Display: 0:00 - 99:00 min
  • Distance Display: 0:00 - 99:99 km
  • Calories Display: 1-999 kcal
  • Pulse Display: 0-220 BPM
  • Safety Key: Emergency stop mechanism
  • Interactive Training (Optional): Bluetooth connectivity for compatible fitness apps like Kinomap and Anyrun (iOS and Android).

Usage Features:

  • Console Controls: The console features buttons for quick incline and speed selection, program selection ("PROG"), start/pause ("START"), stop ("STOP"), and mode selection ("MODE"). Incline and speed can also be adjusted incrementally using "+" and "-" buttons.
  • Safety Key: A safety key with a clip is provided for emergency stops. When detached, the treadmill immediately stops, and an "E-07" error is displayed.
  • Manual Programs: Users can set countdowns for time (5-99 minutes, default 30:00), distance (1.0-99.0 km, default 1.0 km), or calories (20-990 kcal, default 50 kcal). Alternatively, without presetting, values run "upwards."
  • Pre-set Programs (P1-P36): The treadmill offers 36 pre-set programs, each divided into 10 segments with varying speed and incline profiles.
  • User Programs (U1-U3): Users can create and save their own customized workout programs, defining speed and incline for 10 segments.
  • BMI Test: The BMI function allows users to input gender, age, height, and weight to calculate their Body Mass Index. It provides a general indication of body fat percentage (under 18: thin, 18-23: normal, 25-28: overweight, over 29: obese).
  • HRC Programs (HR1-HR3): These programs enable pulse-controlled training. Users input their age, and the treadmill adjusts speed to maintain a target heart rate. HR1, HR2, and HR3 programs have maximum speeds of 9 km/h, 11 km/h, and 13 km/h, respectively. For accurate heart rate monitoring, wearing a chest strap is recommended; otherwise, hand pulse sensors are used.
  • ERP Function (Standby): The treadmill enters standby mode after approximately 4.5 minutes of inactivity to save energy. It can be reactivated by pressing any button. The ERP function can be toggled on/off by holding the "MODE" button for 3 seconds and entering "2222" (off) or "1111" (on).
  • Folding Mechanism: The treadmill can be folded vertically for storage. Before folding, the incline should be set to the lowest position. Users must be able to lift approximately 20 kg safely.
  • Moving Mechanism: The treadmill is equipped with wheels for easy relocation when folded. Users should hold the handrails and tilt the treadmill backward to roll it.
  • Imperial/Metric Conversion: The display units can be switched between kilometers and miles by detaching the safety key and simultaneously pressing "PROGRAM" and "MODE." "0.6" indicates conversion to miles, and "1.0" indicates conversion to kilometers.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: The manual emphasizes regular cleaning to extend the appliance's lifespan. The console and surfaces should be wiped with a damp cloth after each workout. Weekly vacuuming around and under the treadmill is recommended to remove dust and dirt.
  • Motor Cleaning: Every six months, the motor hood should be opened, and the motor compartment and motor should be carefully vacuumed to prevent clogging from dust.
  • Lubrication: The running mat is pre-lubricated. Lubrication should be checked every 30-40 days by feeling the running deck surface. If dry, silicone oil (petroleum-free) should be applied under the mat, and the treadmill should run at minimum speed for 5 minutes without a user.
  • Running Mat Tension: If the running mat slips or falters, tension needs to be increased. This involves turning the rear screws clockwise in ¼-turn increments, ensuring equal turns on both sides to maintain alignment. To reduce tension, turn the screws anticlockwise.
  • Running Mat Centering: Running forces can cause the mat to shift. If persistent, manual adjustment is required. The treadmill should run at approximately 6 km/h without a user. If the mat shifts left, turn the left rear screw clockwise in ¼-turn increments. If it shifts right, turn the right rear screw clockwise in ¼-turn increments. Repeat until centered, then increase speed to verify alignment.

Troubleshooting:

The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting section covering various issues, such as the treadmill not starting, sudden stops, jerky running, off-center running, squeaking, and error messages (E-01, E-02, E-03, E-05, E-07). It provides possible causes and corresponding remedies, including checking power connections, fuses, cable connections, safety key positioning, motor overload, sensor alignment, and lubrication. For heart rate display issues, it suggests checking chest strap sensors, battery, and coding.
