This document describes the BEAUTURAL Fabric Shaver, a device designed for domestic use to remove fluff, lint, and bobbles from fabrics.
Function Description:
The BEAUTURAL Fabric Shaver is a handheld electronic device that uses rotating cutting blades to shave off unwanted fabric pills and lint from clothing and other textiles. It is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries and features an ON/OFF/Speed Switch to adjust the shaving intensity. The device includes a fluff collector to store the removed material, an adjustable spacer to control the distance between the shaver foil and the fabric, and a protective cap for safety and storage.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Model: 1-MR02NA01, LT-142
- Power Supply: 2 x 1.5V type AA batteries
- Voltage: 3V
- Intended Use: Domestic use only; not for commercial or industrial purposes.
- Speed Levels: Two adjustable speed levels (Speed Level 1 and Speed Level 2) for different fabric types.
- Spacer Settings:
- "Thick" setting: 5mm-length distance from the cutting blades, suitable for large bobbles and coarse textiles.
- "Thin" setting: 3mm-length distance from the cutting blades, suitable for small lint/bobbles and fine textiles.
- Spacer removed: Virtually no spacing to the cutting blades, suitable for very fine lint.
Usage Features:
- Battery Insertion: To insert batteries, press the tabs on the battery compartment cover, push down, and insert two AA batteries, observing polarity. Replace the cover.
- Testing Fabrics: Before removing fluff, it is recommended to test the shaver on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric to ensure the chosen speed level is appropriate and to prevent damage, especially for delicate fabrics like angora. Start with the "Thick" spacer setting and Speed Level 1, then adjust as needed.
- Shaving Process:
- Place the garment on a flat, wrinkle-free surface (e.g., an ironing board).
- Adjust the spacer to the desired level ("Thick," "Thin," or removed) based on the type of lint/bobbles.
- Push the ON/OFF/Speed Switch to the required speed level (1 or 2).
- Lightly guide the shaver foil over the material. The removed fluff and bobbles will be collected in the fluff collector.
- To turn off, push the ON/OFF/Speed Switch back to Speed Level 0.
- Spacer Adjustment:
- Removing: Hold the shaver with one hand, grasp the spacer, place your thumb on its edge, and pull it forward.
- Attaching: Place the spacer on the cutting head and press firmly, ensuring the two small tabs on the spacer grip into the two recesses on the shaver.
- Protection Cap: A protective cap is provided to cover the shaver foil when not in use, preventing accidental injury and protecting the foil.
Maintenance Features:
- Emptying the Fluff Collector:
- Pull the fluff collector down slightly and lift it off.
- Empty the collected textile fluff.
- Place the fluff collector back onto the shaver.
- Note: The fluff collector should never be more than 3/4 full, as an overfilled collector can slow the cutting blades.
- Cleaning the Housing and Cutting Blades:
- Unscrew the shaver foil, spacer, and protective cap. Clean these parts with a slightly damp cloth.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove fluff and lint remnants from the cutting blades.
- Screw the shaver foil back on when all parts are completely dry.
- Place the spacer back on the shaver.
- Caution: Never use corrosive liquids, as they can damage the shaver's surface. Handle cutting blades carefully as they are very sharp.
- Replacing Cutting Blades:
- To remove: Unscrew the shaver foil, carefully grasp the cutting blades' edge, and pull them out.
- To attach: Grasp the cutting blades' edge, firmly insert them into the shaver body, and then screw the shaver foil back into place. Two replaceable cutting blades are included.
- Battery Safety and Maintenance:
- Regularly check batteries for signs of expiry or leakage.
- Remove batteries if the appliance is not used for long periods.
- Alkaline batteries are recommended. Do not mix alkaline and carbon batteries, or new and old batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the appliance.
- Ensure supply terminals are not short-circuited.
- Keep batteries out of reach of children.
- Warning: Switch the appliance to "0" position before inserting batteries. If batteries leak, remove them immediately using protective gloves. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, short-circuit, or open batteries, and never throw them into fire or water, as they may overheat, burn, burst, or explode.
The appliance's packaging is made from environmentally friendly material and can be disposed of at a local recycling plant.
