Usage Features
The Cellu-Smooth unit is designed for ease of use at home.
Preparation:
- Ensure the area to be treated is clean and free from creams and lotions.
- Plug the mains adapter into a wall socket and the base of the unit.
- Apply a conductive gel to the treatment area. This gel is crucial for the effective penetration of ultrasonic waves and the delivery of its nutrients to the affected area. Without the gel, waves cannot be transmitted to the deeper layers beneath the skin.
Operation:
- Depress the power button and select the desired intensity (LOW or HIGH).
- Apply the chrome applicator to the problem area.
- Low Intensity: Recommended for relieving tension and treating smaller areas such as elbows, wrists, knees, back, and upper arms.
- High Intensity: Recommended for larger areas of the body such as the stomach, buttocks, thighs, and shoulders.
- Application Method:
- Stroking Method: For larger muscular parts like the abdomen, hips, thighs, and shoulders. Stroke for two to three seconds each time, covering a distance of approximately 10cm.
- Rotating Method: For smaller areas with fewer muscles, such as the face and arms. Use speeds similar to the stroking method.
- It is important not to leave the unit in one area for an extended period, as it can cause the area to become too warm and diminish the effect of increased circulation.
- The unit has a "safety cut off timer" that stops the treatment after 15 minutes to prevent overuse on a single area. The maximum treatment time per area should not exceed 15 minutes.
Post-Treatment:
- After treatment, wipe off the gel with a dry cloth.
- Switch off and unplug the unit from the mains.
Treatment Frequency:
- For quick results, daily use for the full 15 minutes on each specific area is recommended.
- Initial improvements in skin texture may be noticed after two weeks.
- For best results, continue regular use for at least eight weeks before transitioning to a maintenance program of 2-3 times per week.
- A more gradual result can be achieved by using the device 3-4 times per week for a minimum of seven minutes per area, with noticeable improvement after two weeks and maximum benefit after up to twelve weeks.
- It is advised to leave at least a 6-hour interval between treatments on the same body area to prevent muscle fatigue and ensure effectiveness. Using the unit more often does not accelerate treatment.
