C. RS 422 interface
(1) The RS 422 interface enables complete remote control of the transponder,
i.e. all operating functions between the T/R unit and control unit are
transmitted.
(2) The data format of the RS 422 interface is factory-defined and described.
The transmission rate is 4800 Baud.
D. External IDENT push-button
If this input (Pin 1 of unit connector P8) is briefly connected to GND (e.g. by
an external push-button), the IDENT function is started in the same way as
with the IDENT push-button on the front panel.
E. External FUNCTION ON
The transponder can be switched ON and OFF from the control unit using
this input. To do this, Pin 9 of unit connector P8 must be briefly connected
to GND.
