(EN) To correctly set the gains of the channels,
rstset the LEVEL controls of the input channels
to their center positions (0 dB). Then use the GAIN
controls to increase the input amplication until
signal peaks show 0 dB on the level meter.
When recording to digital recorders, therecorder’s
peak meter should not go into overload.
Whileanalog recorders can be overloaded to
some extent, creating only a certain amount of
distortion (which is common and often desirable),
digitalrecorders distort quickly when overloaded.
Inaddition, digital distortion is not only undesirable,
but also renders your recording completely useless.
The peak meters of your XENYX display the level
virtually independent of frequency. A recording level
of 0 dB is recommended for all signal types.

Pour l’enregistrement en numérique, l’acheurde

0 dB. En eet, contrairement aux magnétos
analogiques, les enregistreurs numériques génèrent
des distorsions très désagréables dès le moindre
dépassement, même minime, du maximum
numérique. Les indicateurs de crêtes de votre
XENYX achent le niveau de façon quasiment
indé-pendante de la fréquence. Nous vous
conseillons un niveau d’enregistrement de 0 dB quel
que soit lesignal.

Bei der Aufnahme mit Digitalrekordern
sollten die Peak-Meter des Rekorders 0 dB
nicht übersteigen. Das hat den Grund, dass im
Gegensatz zur Analogaufnahme bereits kleinste
Übersteuerungen (die auch sehr plötzlich auftreten)
zu unangenehmen, digitalen Verzerrungen führen.
DiePeak-Meter Ihres XENYX zeigen den Pegel
nahezu frequenzunabhängig an. Empfehlenswert ist
ein Aufnahmepegel von 0 dB für alle Signalarten.

Aquando da gravação com gravadores digitais,
os medidores de peak do gravador não
devem ultrapassar os 0 dB. O motivo é que,
contrariamente à gravação analógica, as mais
ínmas sobremodulações (que também surgem
muito repentinamente) podem originar distorções
digitais desagradáveis. Os medidores do peak
do seu XENYX indicam o nível de forma mais ou
menos independente da frequência. Recomenda-se
um nível de gravação de 0 dB para todos os tipos
desinais.
