Do you have a question about the Beko BHCA66341BBH and is the answer not in the manual?
This document is a user manual for a Beko Hood, providing essential information for its safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The Beko Hood is designed to extract cooking fumes, odors, and vapors from the kitchen environment. It features an engine with various speed levels to accommodate different cooking needs, from low speeds for normal conditions to high speeds for strong odors and vapor condensation. The hood can operate in different modes depending on the model, including standard speed levels, an intensive ventilation (Booster) mode, and an automatic mode that adjusts operation based on kitchen air temperature. Some models also offer an air cleaning mode for prolonged odor elimination at a low level. The hood is equipped with lamps to illuminate the cooking area, and for certain models, the illumination color can be adjusted.
Operating the Hood: To start the hood, simply touch the desired speed level key. The selected key will light up, indicating the active speed. You can change the speed level by touching another speed key. The hood is designed to run for a maximum of 6 hours if no key is touched during operation.
Turning Off the Hood: To turn off the hood, touch the key corresponding to the currently active speed level or the main power key (if available). If the main power key is touched while any function other than the lamp is active, that function will be cancelled.
Intensive Ventilation Mode (Booster) (for models B and C): This mode provides powerful, temporary ventilation. To activate it, press the Booster key once. The hood will run in intensive ventilation mode for a maximum of 10 minutes, with the Booster key lit. After this period, it automatically reverts to Speed 3, and the Speed 3 key will light up. If any other speed key is touched during intensive ventilation, the hood will return to that speed level.
Operating the Lamp: Touch the lamp key to turn on the hood lamp. For models B and C, if the lamp key is touched again within 1 minute of turning it on, the lamp will switch to a low illumination level. If touched after 1 minute, it will turn off. The illumination lamps are designed to operate for a maximum of 12 hours.
Setting Lamp Illumination Color (for models B and C): These models allow you to choose from 3 different shades of illumination. With the lamp on, press and hold the lamp key for more than 2 seconds to cycle through the shades. Each subsequent press (held for 2 seconds) will change the color shade. Release the key when the desired shade is active. The hood will remember the last set color shade in case of a power outage. Note that the light color shade can only be changed when the lamp is at high light intensity.
Automatic Mode (for model C): This intelligent mode uses a sensor to measure kitchen air temperature and hob air temperature. It automatically adjusts the hood's operation levels to match these temperatures. To enable automatic mode, touch the dedicated key. The mode will remain active until the hob air temperature equals the ambient temperature, at which point it will automatically switch off. To re-enable it, you must activate it again. If the product is turned on or off at any speed while automatic mode is active, the automatic mode will be cancelled. To turn off automatic mode early, touch its key once more. It's important not to open the product cover when auto mode is on, as this can decrease performance. The hood may also start operating at Speed 2 or 3 in automatic mode if a significant ambient temperature difference is detected even when the hob is not in use.
Air Cleaning Mode (for models B and C): This mode is designed for long-term odor elimination at a low level. To activate it, touch the Speed 1 key for more than 3 seconds. The Speed 1 key will flash, indicating the mode is active. In this mode, the hood operates at Speed 1 for 10 minutes, then stops for 50 minutes, repeating this cycle for 24 hours if not manually switched off. If any key other than the lamp key is touched while air cleaning mode is active, it will be automatically cancelled, and the hood will operate according to the newly selected function.
Aluminium Filter Fill Warning: The Speed 2 key will flash after every 100 hours of operation, indicating that the aluminum filter needs cleaning. After cleaning, the warning will not automatically turn off. To reset the warning, touch the Speed 2 key for more than 3 seconds. If the warning is turned off without cleaning the filter, the 100-hour operating time resets and starts over. If the hood is run at any speed level with the warning active, the warning will not appear during operation but will resume flashing once the hood is turned off. The warning is not cancelled by a power cut; it will resume flashing when power is restored.
Carbon Filter Fill Warning (for products with carbon filter): Similar to the aluminum filter warning, the Speed 2 key will flash after every 100 hours of operation, signaling that the carbon filter needs replacement. This filter cannot be washed and must be replaced. After replacement, the warning will not automatically turn off. To reset it, touch the Speed 2 button for more than 3 seconds. If the warning is turned off without replacing the carbon filter, the 100-hour operating time resets and starts over. If the hood is run at any speed level with the warning active, the warning will not appear during operation but will resume flashing once the hood is turned off. The warning is not cancelled by a power cut; it will resume flashing when power is restored.
Regular maintenance and cleaning are crucial for extending the product's service life and preventing common issues. Always disconnect the product from the electrical connection before any maintenance or cleaning to avoid electric shock.
General Cleaning: The product should be thoroughly cleaned after each use to easily remove food residues and prevent them from burning. Use dishwashing detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth or sponge, then dry with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive detergents, cleaning powders, creams, sharp objects, or steam cleaning products. For stainless or inox surfaces, use a soft soapy cloth and liquid (non-scratching) detergent, wiping in one direction. Be careful not to damage the sensors located on the backside of the glass cover (for model C) during cleaning.
Aluminium Filter Maintenance: The aluminum filter traps oil particles and should be cleaned once a month under normal usage.
Carbon Filter Maintenance (Usage without a flue): If your hood is installed without a flue, the carbon filters must be replaced every 4 months under normal use. These filters cannot be washed.
Hood Lamp Maintenance: In case of a lamp malfunction, contact your local dealer or Customer Service for replacement. Do not attempt to replace the lamp yourself.
Troubleshooting: If the product is not working, check the fuses in the fuse box, ensure the product is plugged into an outlet, and verify that a speed button is set. If the hood light is not on, check the fuses and contact customer service if the lamp is faulty. For any persistent issues, contact your vendor or an Authorized Service; do not attempt repairs yourself.
