The dryer offers various programs tailored to different fabric types and desired dryness levels, including options for cotton, synthetics, delicates, and specific items like shirts or sportswear. Some models may also feature steam functions for freshening clothes and removing odors without full washing. The appliance is equipped with a compressor, and during operation, it's normal to hear metallic noises from the compressor and pumping noises as water is transferred to the tank.
To begin, users must plug in the machine, load laundry, and press the On/Off button. The dryer defaults to the "cotton cabinet dryness" program upon first use. Program selection is made via a knob, allowing users to choose from a range of drying levels and fabric-specific cycles. This involves opening the kick plate, removing the filter drawer cap, extracting the sponge, and cleaning both the sponge and the drawer with hands or a soft cloth. The dampness sensors, which detect laundry dryness, should be wiped with a soft cloth dampened with vinegar four times a year, ensuring the machine has cooled down. It is important not to use metal tools for cleaning the sensors. The water tank, which collects condensed water, must be emptied after each drying cycle. If the tank fills up during a program, a warning LED will flash, and the machine will go into standby until the tank is emptied and the program is resumed. If direct water draining is used, emptying the water tank is not necessary. For models with a condenser unit, the condenser should be cleaned monthly or after every 30 operations. The evaporator fins, located behind the filter drawer, can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner or by hand using protective gloves to avoid injury.
