This document serves as the user manual for a Beko Dryer, covering models DTLCE80051W, DTLCE80121W, DTLCE80041W, and DTLCE80151W. It provides essential information for safe operation, installation, usage, and maintenance of the appliance.
The Beko Dryer is designed for domestic use to dry laundry that is marked as suitable for machine drying. It offers various drying programs tailored to different fabric types and desired dryness levels, such as Cottons Iron Dry, Cottons Eco, Cottons Cupboard Dry, Cottons Extra Dry, Synthetics Iron Dry, Synthetics Cupboard Dry, Jeans, Cool Refresh, Time Programmes, Outdoor/Sport, Mix/Daily, Towels, GentleCare, and Super Short 0.5kg. Some models may also feature a steam function for specific programs like odour removal, which uses distilled or condensed water to refresh clothes. The dryer incorporates a temperature sensor to detect the dryness level of the laundry and automatically adjusts the drying process. It also includes a child lock feature to prevent interruption of programs.
To operate the dryer, users first plug it in and open the loading door to place laundry inside, ensuring no items are jammed. The desired program is then selected using the On/Off/Programme selection knob, which also turns on the machine. The Start/Pause button initiates the selected program. The control panel features various symbols indicating functions like filter cleaning, water tank full, child-proof lock, mute, volume up, express drying, delicates, shirts, sport, freshen up, cottons, mix, end/anti-creasing, timer delay, drying level options (cupboard dry, iron dry, extra dry, cupboard dry plus), start/pause/cancel, synthetics, drying rack/timedry, eco, bedding/duvet, dryness level options (dryness level+, dryness level++), hygiene+, shirt 30' refreshment, low temperature select, daily, wool refresh, and downwear level.
The dryer offers a Time Delay function, allowing users to postpone the program start by 3, 6, or 9 hours. Laundry can be added or removed during the delayed start time. If a program needs to be changed after it has started, the user can turn the On/Off/Programme selection knob to select a new program and then press Start/Stand-by. For adding or removing clothes during an active program, the Start/Stand-by button must be pressed to pause the machine, the door opened, laundry adjusted, and then Start/Stand-by pressed again to resume. However, frequent interruptions are discouraged as they increase program duration and energy consumption. If a program needs to be cancelled entirely, the On/Off/Cancel knob should be turned. After program completion, an audible warning sounds (which can be muted), and a wrinkle prevention function may activate for up to 2 hours if laundry is not removed promptly, tumbling clothes at 10-minute intervals.
Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the dryer's service life and preventing problems. The lint filter and the inner surfaces of the loading door must be cleaned after each drying cycle to remove lint and fibers. The lint filter can be removed by pulling it up, opened, cleaned by hand or with a soft cloth, and then reinstalled. If a layer builds up on the filter pores, it should be washed with warm water and dried completely before reinstallation. The lint filter housing can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner.
The temperature sensors, located inside the dryer, should be cleaned four times a year by hand to remove any fluff accumulation. Metal tools should not be used for cleaning the sensors, and the machine should be allowed to cool down if it is hot from a drying process. Solvents, cleaning agents, or similar substances are strictly prohibited for cleaning due to fire and explosion risks.
For condenser models, the condenser unit needs to be cleaned regularly, ideally after every 30 drying cycles or once a month. To clean the condenser, the kick plate is opened, the two condenser locks are unlocked, and the condenser is pulled out. It should then be cleaned by applying pressurized water with a shower armature until the water drains, and then reinstalled securely.
The water tank, which collects condensed water during the drying process, must be drained after each drying cycle. If the water tank fills up during a program, a warning symbol will flash, and the machine will stop. In this case, the water tank should be removed, drained, and reinserted, then the Start/Pause button pressed to resume the cycle. If direct water draining is connected, there is no need to empty the water tank. If lint accumulates in the water tank funnel, it should be cleaned under running water.
The user manual also provides troubleshooting tips for common issues such as long drying times, damp clothes, the machine not turning on, premature program termination, and warning indicators. It advises users to consult the manual for solutions before contacting authorized service.
