Do you have a question about the Beko WMB 50831 PT and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the Beko WMB 50831 PT washing machine, providing details on its function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.
The Beko WMB 50831 PT is an automatic washing machine designed to clean various types of laundry. It offers a range of programs tailored for different fabrics, soiling levels, and temperatures, aiming for efficient and safe operation. The machine is equipped with features to optimize energy and water consumption, as well as safety mechanisms to protect both the user and the appliance.
The washing machine features a control panel with a program selection knob, display, delayed start button, program follow-up indicator, start/pause button, auxiliary function buttons, spin speed adjustment button, and temperature adjustment button.
Users can select programs based on fabric type, quantity, and soiling degree. Available main programs include:
The machine allows adjustment of washing temperature and spin speed for selected programs. The display shows the maximum recommended values, which can be decreased gradually.
The start of a program can be delayed by up to 19 hours, adjustable in 1-hour increments. Liquid detergent is not recommended with this function to avoid staining.
This feature prevents children from tampering with the machine by locking the control panel. It can be activated/deactivated by pressing and holding specific auxiliary function buttons.
The loading door locks during operation and when the water level is unsuitable. It unlocks automatically when safe to open, indicated by a light.
Laundry can be added or removed during a paused program, provided the loading door can be opened.
A running program can be canceled by turning the program selection knob to another program. The machine will drain water for 1-2 minutes before being ready for a new program.
"End" is displayed when the program finishes. The machine should be switched off, and laundry removed.
Regular maintenance helps prolong the product's lifespan and prevent common problems.
The detergent drawer should be cleaned regularly (every 4-5 cycles) to prevent detergent residue buildup. This involves removing the siphon, washing the drawer and siphon with warm water, and reinserting them.
Over time, detergent and softener residues can accumulate, causing unpleasant odors. The "Drum Cleaning" program (if available) or "Cottons-90" with "Additional Water" or "Extra Rinse" and anti-limescale solution (100g powder or one tablet in compartment II) should be run every two months. After the program, the drum interior should be wiped dry. Any foreign objects in the drum or clogged holes in the bellow should be removed. Metal objects causing rust stains should be cleaned with stainless steel cleaning agents, avoiding abrasive sponges.
The machine's body can be cleaned with soapy water or mild gel detergent, then wiped with a soft cloth. The control panel should only be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Abrasive materials should be avoided.
Filters located at the end of the water intake hoses (at the machine and tap connections) prevent foreign substances from entering. These filters should be cleaned when dirty by closing the taps, removing the hoses, cleaning the filters with a brush, and reassembling.
The pump filter prevents solid items from clogging the pump. If the machine fails to drain, the pump filter is likely clogged and needs cleaning every 3 months or when clogged. Water must be drained before cleaning the filter. This involves unplugging the machine, waiting for the water to cool, opening the filter cap, and draining the water (either via an emergency draining hose or by loosening the pump filter). After draining, the filter should be removed, cleaned of residues and fibers, and reinstalled securely. If the product has a water jet feature, ensure the filter is correctly seated in its housing.
