5-44. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS
Special inspections are a one-time inspection that
must be performed at specified times following certain
maintenance actions.
The parts affected include the following:
Main Rotor Hub (after every main rotor hub
disassembly)
Main Rotor Trunnion (after the first flight
following each installation)
Tail Rotor Hub Retention Nut (after 1 to
5 hours of operation following each
installation)
Main Rotor Mast Nut (after 5 to 10 hours of
operation following each installation)
Engine Tailpipe Coupling (after 5 to 10 hours
of operation following each installation)
Vertical Fin (after 5 to 10 hours of operation
following each installation)
Main Rotor Hub (after 5 to 10 hours of
operation following each installation)
Hydraulic Actuator Support (after 5 to
10 hours of operation following each
installation)
Tail Rotor Hub and Blades (after 5 to 10 hours
of operation following each installation)
Swashplate (after 25 hours of operation
following each installation)
Main Rotor Trunnion (after 25 hours of
operation following each installation)
Tail Rotor Gearbox (after 100 hours of
operation following each installation)
