5-44. SPECIAL INSPECTIONS
Special inspections are a one-time inspection that
must be performed at specified times following certain
maintenance actions.
The parts affected include the following:
• Main Rotor Hub (after every main rotor hub
disassembly)
• Main Rotor Trunnion (after the first flight
following each installation)
• Tail Rotor Hub Retention Nut (after 1 to
5 hours of operation following each
installation)
• Main Rotor Mast Nut (after 5 to 10 hours of
operation following each installation)
• Engine Tailpipe Coupling (after 5 to 10 hours
of operation following each installation)
• Vertical Fin (after 5 to 10 hours of operation
following each installation)
• Main Rotor Hub (after 5 to 10 hours of
operation following each installation)
• Hydraulic Actuator Support (after 5 to
10 hours of operation following each
installation)
• Tail Rotor Hub and Blades (after 5 to 10 hours
of operation following each installation)
• Swashplate (after 25 hours of operation
following each installation)
• Main Rotor Trunnion (after 25 hours of
operation following each installation)
• Tail Rotor Gearbox (after 100 hours of
operation following each installation)
