6. SET UP
UNPACKING AND ASSEMBLY
OPENING THE PACKAGING: The machine is shipped partially dismantled and
packaged in a metal crate to protect it during transport. The packaged machine
will appear as in Fig 1.
Wear heavy gloves.
1. Remove all shrink wrap and cut the two plastic straps that surround the package.
2. Lift off the corrugated exterior cover assembly.
To prevent damaging the blade deck and blade, move the cutting deck to
its maximum height before driving the tractor off the wooden base platform. Be careful
when performing this delicate unpacking operation.
ADD ENGINE OIL AND FUEL BEFORE PROCEEDING TO STEP 4 AND
STARTING THE RIDING!
BEFORE PROCEDING TO STEP 4:
Follow instructions in the Operator’s Manual to install the steering wheel (Section
FITTING THE STEERING WHEEL) and seat (Section FITTING THE SEAT).
3. After installing the steering wheel and seat, and filling the riding with gas and oil,
increase the riding’s cutting deck height (BLADE DECK AND CUTTING HEIGHT
ADJUSTMENT UP / DOWN LEVER, Part 16) to its maximum level.
4. Follow the instructions in section CONTROLS AND STARTUP and carefully drive
the riding forward off the wooden base platform. (Fig 2)
