3. Raise the release lever (Fig 42 Part 1) on the drive and speed change engagement
lever (Fig 42 Part 2).
4. Shift the drive and speed change engagement lever to neutral “N” to Reverse “R”
(Fig 42 Part 3).
5. For reverse mowing, slowly release the brake / clutch pedal (Fig 38 Part 1).
GRASS CUTTING
Before starting reverse travel “R”, lift and disengage the blade.
The reverse gear cannot be engaged with the cutting blade engage. The
engine will switch off immediately.
1. Start the engine (see section 4.5 START UP).
2. Sit in the driver's seat.
3. Place the engine throttle lever to the maximum position (Fig 39 Part 4).
4. Select one of the first three gears on the drive and speed change the engagement
lever (Fig 39 Part 3).
5. Operate the cutting blade by lifting the blade rotation engaging lever (Fig 39
Part 2).
6. Lower the blade deck to the required height with the blade deck and cutting height
adjustment lever (Fig 39 Part 1).
7. Release the parking brake lever (Fig 37 Part 2).
8. Slowly release the brake / clutch pedal (Fig 38 Part 1).
Pedal release must always be gradual to prevent sudden engagement of
the drive causing the vehicle to jump forward, with loss of control by the driver,
especially on slopes.
When cutting on sloping ground, reduce your speed to ensure safe
conditions.
1. Whatever the conditions, always reduce the speed if you notice a drop in engine
speed.
2. If you travel too fast compared to the amount of grass being cut, you will not be
able to mow the grass well.
