Why is my Benchmark Tiller engine difficult to start?

  There are several reasons why your Benchmark Tiller engine might be hard to start. It could be due to: * Lack of fuel, in which case you should add fresh fuel. * The engine switch being OFF, so turn the engine switch on. * The engine not being primed, so move the choke lever to the ON position. * A disconnected spark plug wire, so attach spark plug wire to the spark plug. * A fouled or dirty spark plug, so remove and inspect the spark plug and replace if necessary. * A dirty carburetor, so take the tiller to an authorized service center to clean the carburetor. * A clogged air filter, so remove and clean the air filter. * Contaminated fuel, so drain and clean the fuel tank and fill with fresh fuel.
